"An absolute gem of a pub. The room was tastefully decorated with lots of extra little touches, like tea lights in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the claw foot bath was gorgeous, with toiletries provided and piping hot water. Perhaps a flannel to wash with would be good and the bottom of our mugs were tea stained which was a bit off-putting but that’s all I’d be picky about. The pub is very atmospheric, obviously loved by the locals as it was packed, and the staff were polite and welcoming even though they were very busy. Having on site parking was a big plus. We’ll definitely be back - loved it."

"This B&B is in a nice setting. Although it’s on the main road, it’s quite set back and the pub being just opposite this makes for a lovely combination. There is also a convenience store along the road if you wanted to get a morning newspaper etc. The room was very spacious which was nice. Just had to be careful of the beams. The only thing I didn’t enjoy personally was that the owner was quite headmistress like in terms of rules and what she wanted, which basically made us feel like kids being told off, which is not something I want when paying £118 for an overnight stay, but my partner says that perhaps B&Bs are not for me. Back to standard hotels I think…."

"To date, this has been the best hotel experience we have ever had! The staff really make it exceptional, they were attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. We will be coming back for sure to try out the Spa. We were only here because we were attending an event at the Race track. But now we know how good this place is."
