Check in was painful due to poor communication about whether room was paid for or not. Room was quite old and smelled of mothballs and near the lift so all we heard all night was the lift well going up and down. The room was very dated and didn't quite match photos, however was huge, bed very comfy. Shower leaked but was powerful, hot and easy to use.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location , the 3 pm check-in and 10am check-out was a bit harsh we had travelled all morning to get there and couldn't get an early check-in i understand its a big luxury hotel but we had our 9 year old daughter with us and it was 40 degrees we just wanted to check in and go to the pool .

My husband and i were well looked after, the staff went above and beyond to make my husbands birthday special. We enjoyed the classical feel of the place, food was amazing and we loved the air con in the gym. The gymnasium was pretty spacious .
