This place is amazing. We only stayed one night as a middle ground between Krabi and Phuket, but wish we would have stayed longer. I will definitely plan to stay longer next time.

Low standard - nice view
The Villas are very old. Amazing view though, but a lot of insects. Ants all over, cockroaches and frogs both inside and outside. A little disgusting. The service in the restaurant and reception are not as high as other places in Thailand. You do not feel special - more like any other guest. Borrow food at the restaurants after 1 visit. Breakfast is crowded. It is not really working with the what’s app, telephone thing - if you make a request to one person, another will answer and you have to explain yourself again and again. Elephant trip was nice and they arranged perfect transport to and from the hotel for us. The island is worth a visit, but next time I will choose another newer hotel for my family.

Overall a great trip if you want someone a little out of the way and are there purely for rest and relaxation. However, if you’re looking for nightlife, or something a bit more lively, then likely this is not the place. Lots of couples and older people this time of year, but the vibes are great! The staff is amazing and super helpful.

Hotel lovely but a bit of a norse having to go up and down seep hill from the room after novelty wore off. Loved the free massage before breakfast & the breakfast room & food really good whatever your taste. Main pool fabulous! Beach would have been much better if they did a bit of a sweep up/rake first thing like some hotels do… beach was so much nicer at the hotel next door (?). There are some shops and nice little local restaurants just up the road off the end of the beach. Very good overall but three nights was enough for us.

This is my second stay, the service and hotel is exceptional! Rooms, staff and hotel are amazing and can’t wait to come again. Lovely balcony and view from room. Most of the staff were super friendly. The buffet was never hot, breakfast or evening meal. The walls are very thin between rooms, we could hear coughing every morning. Have to get a car from your room to the lobby/beach area. The additional services they offer, tours, massages etc are all very expensive.

We had a great stay at Santhiya. The location was beautiful as was the room and restaurants. The pools were clean and not very busy (we visited begining of November). We didn't have to wait long for the drivers, even when there was a downpour! And if you ask in advance they always come on time. The spa was absolutely amazing! Yes the prices are higher than general for Thailand however still much cheaper than the UK. The price is reflected in the settings and service. We had a couple steam, body scrub and massage. We enjoyed all of it and would definitely recommend. The restaurants again were a bit pricier however it is worth remembering this is a resort so not unexpected. The restaurants and which menu you order from were a bit confusing however he staff were happy to help.

Loved the tropical landscaping and traditional build of the resort and because its spread out with two separate pools, the beautiful beach, several restaurants and lots of different areas to relax in, it never seemed full of people. Enjoyed using the resort library with books in so many languages to take out. We have to say all the Staff at the resort were absolutely outstanding, so happy, polite and friendly, every staff member greeted you so graciously every single time we passed in the resort or entered a building, they are a credit to the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our 14 days at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai, for a complete relax and highly recommend it to escape the rat race.
