Nice room, but the info was not clear—no ovens in studios, we discovered when we arrived. No picture of the room showed the giant post in the middle of the pathway to the bathroom either, or the bolts that stuck out from it about 2cm at ankle level. It was between the closet and the bed (with about two feet clear on either side) and about two feet from the middle of the bathroom doorway. A real nuisance, even a hazard.

Great location, excellent room, kitchenette and bathroom (It even had a washing machine and tumble dryer which was an added bonus.) Very large comfortable bed. Excellent all round Only negative - We bought continental breakfast boxes (as we had a very early ferry) but they were very poor contents / value

Great location for train or ferry
Quest on Thorndon was convenient, comfortable with the in-room laundry and kitchen adding to the stay. The staff was great. We arrived on the Northern Explorer and a couple of days later left on the ferry to Picton so the proximity to the train depot and ferry port was a plus for us.
