My room had a really foul odor and a consistent knat problem. I bought cleaning supplies since my stay was extended there but it did not help. There was no stove and oven just hot plate. Maybe the exhaust fan in kitchen was not working properly and caused the odor in the room. Not sure. The hallways and lobby smelled as well. The stairwell was filthy. While I was on an extended stay there management did clean the lobby area, stairwell and the hallway odor improved. I am thankful it was not me and had an excellent experience last night at ES in Farmington CT. Very clean with attentive staff. Without last nights experience, I wouldn’t”t have returned to Exended Stay. My experiences at extended stay have n Philadelphia and Monroeville were generally positive ones as well. Farmington CTby far the best to me, anyway so far.

I booked a room with 2 beds. Got there at 6:20 PM. Check-in was anytime after 3. Candie, the front desk receptionist, told me my room wasn't ready yet. Saidet her see what she could finagle. Couple minutes later, she hands me keys. I go up to the room and see it's only 1 bed. Go back downstairs. Candie now changes her story and says that's the last room in the hotel. Refuses to refund my money or give me the room I booked. Refuses to let me speak with her manager. Walks around the corner, comes back a minute later, and says her manager told me I couldn't have the room I booked or my money back. I called customer service. Got hung up on 3 times by people that don't speak English. Finally get through to someone who does only to be told I have to talk to the people that don't speak English. They told me they'd open an investigation and have their supervisor call me back within 48 hours. It's been over 48 hours. No call from a supervisor. No refund. Nothing. I had to book a room over an hour away and pay for 2 rooms. Never book with Extended Stay America ever! Awful employees, awful customer service, awful everything.

The property and their staff was so friendly. One of the staff members decorated our room with flower pedals and “fake” candles and balloons and flowers and wine. I proposed to my girlfriend that day so the decorated for when we got back to the hotel after. Her name is Candie and she was so so great!!

Maybe another location…but NOT Cranberry Townships
I booked 3 rooms. They were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Each room was equipped with a fridge and microwave (a little kitchenette). Each room came with 2 beds and a pullout sofa bed. However, the floors were dirty (dusty, multiple strands of hair on the floors of the rooms, the hallways had debris all over them, the elevator was not clean - walls nor floors). Housekeeping were folding blankets and sheets in the lobby. The sheets were touching the floors as they were being folded. People were coming in from outside to help fold the sheets. I couldn’t distinguish the employees from the guests. I asked front desk for two sets for the sofa bed. She said she would get them for me. I got my family settled in and went back down to get the sheets and they thrown on top of the counters (where guests sit to converse and etc)…very unsanitary!! On top of all that…the power went out. We were without electricity for over 6 hours. Luckily, it was our last day there…so we just packed up early (IN THE DARK!!!) and left before checkout time! I’m hopeful that other locations are not as bad as the Cranberry Township location. At least, I’d like to think that.
