This place is a total $hithole. I arrived and my room was FREEZING. So much for hospitality. You’d have a better rest in your parked car outside. Roach motel from the 70s vibe. AVOID

We have stayed at several Double Trees, and this one was just not up to par with those. The lamp shade and ottoman were both ripped. There were crumbs on the partition wall, a hard candy on the bathroom floor, and a couple of hairs in the sheets. To be fair- we checked in late after a very long flight, so we did not call and ask to be moved. It was a quick trip so we just dealt with it, so I cannot comment on how Customer Service would handle it. But I would not stay here again.

The individual room was nice, clean and large, but going to the room, it is old, unfinished, and the elevator and wing I was in smelled funny. The wing I was in including my room was very humid.

The staff was very welcoming and very helpful. From the check in person to the person I checked out with. He went above and beyond going back up to my room when I thought I had forgotten an item. Also, the lady working the breakfast. She was wonderful and very friendly!

Bug in the room.

The stay was fine. The part that was most significant to take away was the bug that was found upon arrival. My friend said it was a stink bug and put a cup on top of it. When checking out, it was acknowledged as not a big deal.

Our new "Home-Away-From-Home"

We were SO pleased with everything about our stay at the Double Tree Hilton Tigard, from the friendly, smiling front-desk agent, the employee who insisted we accept the warm welcome cookies, the employee who happily directed us to our room as we got off the elevator, the smiling friendly housekeepers we passed in the hall, including ending our one-night stay with the ultimate breakfast .. which was even more enjoyable with the friendly assistance and wonderful conversation with employee "Lety!" We left feeling like family ... looking forward to returning.
