The staff was very helpful and welcoming the free breakfast was awesome the wait staff were beautiful. Room service was amazing. For the best experience don't use Wikipedia call the hotel directly. Expedia will scam you out of money. Trust me

Traveled to Sosua with my 10 year old daughter in December. We didn't want to stay in a resort so we could get the flavor for the culture and locals. I was a bit nervous due to the known night scene but I felt very safe at Casa Valeria. The owners were on site often and were wonderful. The pool was perfect in the evenings and after the beach. The restaurant was great. The made to order breakfast included was excellent! Our room was very nice and the staff overall was great. If you are in a room facing the street it can be a bit noisy with scooter/car traffic but it didn't bother us. The location of the hotel was perfect. Turn left 5 minute walk to Sosua Beach with was fun and lively and had a more local vibe (with people trying to sell you everything under the sun which could get annoying but you just have to firmly say no) and turn right out of the hotel 3 minute walk to Playa Alicia with was more chill and tourist feeling but with bigger waves/current. We did one excursion to Monkey Jungle and did the ziplining and monkey exhibit and it was great. Casa Valeria was an excellent choice and the cutest boutique hotel in the area if you are not wanted to stay at a big resort. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a basic motel like property that I wouldn’t have picked in the first place if I knew the type of business it was. Staff was nice and did their best somehow but it was shockingly not at all like the pictures and reviews. Not at all what I expected. Just got a mini bottle of wine. The see through bathroom door was the worst part…. Again, this is a motel with a pool…
