I didn’t receive any VIP benefits. Customer service was horrible. And I got charged twice for an extra guest which was already paid for when I booked my trip. Would not recommend this place

First I would like to say Carlos Perez, Gregory and most of the staff were very nice and helpful. We appreciate their hospitality. But the amenities are subpar. Management needs to better train their staff or need better to be trained themselves. The shower head was not working properly and needs to be repaired. The dining options were our biggest complaint until my wife was in room with do not disturb sign on door, an employee entered the room and scared her. I don’t understand why he opened the door immediately before verifying if there was anyone in the room and also disregarded the do not disturb sign on door. We already had room service earlier. I told management about this and asked for compensation. He said he would offer a $300 romantic dinner but made us sign a document that was written in Spanish. We were in a box room with glass walls and everyone outside the box could see us. It was so uncomfortable we decided to leave the room and sit with the rest of the hotel guests. We were told the cameras validate our complaint. I have a copy of the text messages with our concierge, a copy of the complaint, and the letter we had to sign. We felt deceived but at 8:30 we had two choices stay and eat or find another place to eat. I hope no one experiences this and hope Expedia will compensate us better than the lie Jose Ant sold us.

The staff was extremely helpful and everyone was professional… the nightly entertainment was enjoyable and attentive to details because it was a special occasion and we were greeted with dessert to the room to commemorate. My husband and I plan on returning in the future.

The service is amazing, very nice staff. I would only have one observation and it’s regarding food; it could be a little better overall. Now, don’t expect the most beautiful beach in this hotel, but Juanillo beach is very close and the hotel offers free shuttle to it. Juanillo beach is stunning though, very worthwhile visiting.

The TRS hotel is very nicely landscaped. There are many pools and a spa. Personal butler to attend your needs. While not a large resort, it was nicely appointed. A few things that need improvement - FOOD, breakfast was OK - offering an authentic Dominican breakfast in a buffet style with an option to have eggs to order. Lunch was better, a mix of Dominican and international cuisine at the beach restaurant or snacks and sandwiches at the poolside grill. Dinner was fair to poor - had a steak ordered medium rare come out blue and a pasta dish the next night that had the consistency of canned pasta. I love the idea of the personal butler - however ours was slow to respond to our Whatsapp group and on the second morning he confirmed in person with my partner and I that evenings dinner reservation. Got to the restaurant and no reservation had been made. A shuttle is offered to a nearby larger beach (Juanillo) but the morning shuttle was packed resulting in having to wait for the shuttle to make a round trip, a half hour wait - same on the return. I don't think I will return. Your experience may vary .

We come to this property every Christmas. Aronni (butler) was wonderful and very responsive. Manuel (Helios waiter) became a friend and we looked forward to seeing him every day. Gregory (dining manager) was very kind and helpful. Because of these people we will absolutely be returning next year.

Food- Food was ok and it got very repetitive. There are only two restaurants on the property. Breakfast and lunch were always the same options. There was no buffet like there usually is in an all inclusive resort. Waiters did not speak English well and would get my orders wrong. Room- Can’t complain about the room. We got a jacuzzi suite. When it started raining both bathrooms were turned into swimming pools. Room service wouldn’t do a complete job sometimes( missing towels for the jacuzzi, not enough sugar for the in room coffee machine, and not sure if they changed our sheets ). Property- The property itself is very small. Amenity wise there is two swimming pools and one swim up bar. The beach should not even be considered a beach. The beach area was dirty. In my one week stay I did not see one person on the beach. They do provide a shuttle to another nearby beach however the shuttle only goes twice a day. Staff- We had a butler and he went out of his way to make our stay great. Staff would walk around while we were eating and force us to write reviews. Extremely upset with that. Staff tried their hardest to make everyone participate in events by the pool and were very sweet. In general I would not come back and I would not recommend. Not sure how the property has 5 stars.
