"I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service which goes beyond 'exelent' to impeccable. There was quite a lively nightlife in the city and more shopping and dining options than you could shake a stick at. So it was surprising that our pool-side room was so quiet, but it was. I could hear some of the nearby noise if I listened quietly next to the door, but nothing disturbed our rest. The breakfast was beyond magnificent. The have the best buffet I've ever had the pleasure to meet."

"First of all, this is an old and very historic hotel. Do not expect all mod-cons! That said, staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to please. Our room was large and overlooked the Corniche so was noisy until about 2am (as expected!) but compensated for by the view, the proximity to old downtown, amazing cafes and restaurants nearby. Monty’s bar very “old English” with live music after 9pm. Good food and drinks, attentive staff. But it’s smoking - and Egyptian cigarette smoke clings and lingers!"
