Arrived to a room that had not been cleaned; got charged for day parking AND overnight parking for my car being parked for a few hours the day before; then there was a random $50 incidental charge that I never remember being told about that I was told “can sometimes take 2-4 days because of the weekend to come back.” Not worth the expense and would not stay again.

not very warm but does the job.
The front desk people are not welcoming or warm. I felt like I was bothering them when I asked about room service and even when I checked in and out. The valet people are super nice and helpful although I have a minor dent on my driver's side door. The room was very well decorated, the bed was comfortable. You can really tell that the hotel is animal friendly because theres no way they can get out all the dog hair. I was wearing black leggings one day and I noticed a lot of dog hair on them after sitting on the couches and bed. Overall a comfortable stay.

The rooms are nice and have personality. Wasn’t ope this visit, but on previous visit we enjoyed the great view from the rooftop bar. Very convenient to VCU.

Staff were nice. Rooms are old and outdated. Nevertheless seen duch a small bathroom sink. It was so tiny, you couldn’t bring anything normal bathroom items such as toothpaste, razor and such. Wallpaper was pealing away. Very few electrical outlets. Storage for clothes was ridiculous. Situated so low to the ground that if you hung up suit pants or even a belt they were laying on the ground. More Holiday Inn than Hilton.

I stay at this hotel often because of its proximity to VCU. The rooms are nice, I always sleep well and it’s pretty quiet. Even with a wedding this last stay, the halls were not loud. I deducted stars this time because check-in is 4 but they did not have rooms ready and I had to wait more than 30 minutes, someone then knocked on my door at 9:30 am to ask if I was checking out at 11, and because the free coffee was unavailable in the morning. Little annoyances. The valet staff is always top notch but the overnight rate for 1 car is $40. Way too much.

Poor Service and Fire Alarm Was set off at 2:30am
Check in process took very long. Fire Alarm went off at 2:30am on Thursday night until 3:30am. Front desk was run poorly. The employees were unprofessional. Other rooms were very loud as well after hours.

Too complicated shouldn’t need the key throughout the whole entire day to get on the elevator. That’s too much. I don’t see cameras by the elevator that’s not safe and the dinner and dining they should be able to deliver or room service for the amount of money that we’re paying it’s supposed to be upscale so I think you guys need to reevaluate kind of use my comment as a good thing please thank you but it would’ve been great to have a tub and some of those king-size bedrooms that’s more so of a luxury room versus just a family room and it would be great to have room service room service is a big big big thing. Great hotel
This is probably our 4 or 5 time staying here, and it’s always a great experience. Rooms are large and comfy, bathrooms clean and solid water temp/pressure. We enjoy the rooftop bar and the staff are always very professional and helpful. Recommend to anyone visiting Richmond (and perfect location for VCU parents)
