Rated as 4-stars, the Golden Tulip has some nice things to offer but in my opinion fell short during our stay. Upside: Large rooms for a European hotel. Service was excellent. Check-in smooth with bellman available. Downside: Advertised A/C available yet it had to be requested from the front desk - and then it was poor performing. Shower drained slow (they fixed that) and the halls / walls were very thin. With our room being close to the main elevator area significant noise was experienced.

Good property, however a little old and overpriced for the room. Toilet kept getting clogged and you couldnt control the AC. You had to ask reception to change it for you.

Has pros and cons! Impressive lobby. Awesome preserved old elevator. Breakfast was good yet in the basement. Room needs some tlc! Several markings on the walls (nothing that paint can’t cover up). Floors also need refreshing (they are wooden) yet looked dirty. Thin walls makes noise level not the greatest. Maids need to pay attention to detail a little more-found trash in the bathroom and 2 hairs on the bed! Stayed here because of location to the train station. And had a roof top bar with a beautiful view!

The hotel is a nice hotel and the surrounding area is great. The staff were nice but not all of them when we checked in the staff was so helpful the guy helped us with our late check in but when we checked out the staff were a little rude. Over all it was a good stay. Note make sure to check on your breakfast if it’s included we were told it was included when we checked in and asked twice when we checked out they say it was not and ended up paying for it.

It seems the hotel was under construction. The room situation was awful: the wall was cracked and there were several hole on the walls, there was no door for the closet, and the shower door couldn’t be opened properly and needs to be fixed. Also, there were no complimentary bottles of water in the room. The hotel is definitely not a four star hotel!
