Loved the staff! And the bed was wonderful w/ great bedding & towels. Also, a full breakfast was very convenient & satisfying! Pets are only allowed on ground floor, which was disappointing, I prefer to stay on 2nd floor or above

Only one elevator is functioning. It is making people to wait for 10 to 15 min each time. And elevator stops on each floor since so many people are waiting. It makes it extremly annoying around breakfast time and check out time. Breakfast is a joke. Terrible few choices that are not even eidable. Waffles mashine is not working properly and waffles are not removable.

The sink barely drains in 514. It was inconvenient to only have one elevator operational off the lobby, especially after breakfast and everyone headed for the elevator. The room and bathroom were clean. Their morning breakfast buffet was very good.

Affordable and great location
The facility is an ideal location to DC and the major highways around the area. Parking is free with plenty of space and lights. Beds are surprisingly comfortable. Nice breakfast selection. I will return to stay at this affordable option.

No frills, close to metro
This is the place to stay if you’re looking for a no frills place near one of the outlying metro stations. Not fancy, but an easy 15-20 minute walk to the Van Dorn metro station on the blue line. Access to the city without having to drive all the way in. Great food options just up the road as well. Walkable or drivable (about 1 mile, 15-20ish minutes by foot). Breakfast was offered daily and was okay. Standard hotel eggs, meat, and waffles set up. Only one working elevator through end of 2024 and maybe into 2025. Shower was not great. My only real complaint.

The hotel was alright, and the staff was nice. Driving out of the parking lot was a little scarry. The lower part of the hill is cut off from site and some people drive very fast.

Great stay but low water pressure in our shower.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this hotel a rating of 6. I hate to do that because it should be an 8. We had a great stay and they did everything right except the shower water pressure is extremely low (at least in our room). Each day (we stayed there 4 days) we asked if it could be fixed and we were told they were working on it and it would be fixed by the next day. I guess we were just getting the run around because nothing changed. I hate to say we wished we would have stayed somewhere else because they did everything else so wonderfully (especially the breakfast) but showers are pretty important and my family made fun of me for picking a lame hotel as a result of the water pressure. If I could rate this hotel without including low water pressure issue, again it would have been an 8 (and water pressure would have been a 2).

I’d give this a pass
Really run down property. The housekeeping staff had done their best, but it’s so old and smelly and falling apart. There’s no fan and the windows don’t open so it’s uncomfortably humid. Paint is just peeling away from the walls all over the room, microwave was broken, and the bathroom door had absorbed so much water that the bottom is swollen and cracking and cannot close. Also incredibly loud. 95 and Van Dorn noises all night, you can hear every door in the corridor close all night, and the ceilings are SO thin that people walking can keep you up. Housekeeping vacuuming the room above mine was nearly as loud as if they were in the room with me. Very small room as well which was ok for a single but would have been uncomfortable with 2 people.

I don’t like the fact that I completed my reservation over one month ago and, since then, have yet to receive my deposit refund. I’ve also been given several refund dates by different associates. My stay was nice, despite seeing a bedbug, but I’m utterly a disappointed customer.
