Beautiful place, lovely people

I stayed one night before catching a flight out of San Jose. The property is beautiful, and the hosts Nidia and Michael are very welcoming and attentive. They speak multiple languages including Spanish, English, French and I believe German. The room was very clean, and had a balcony surrounded by flowers. A breakfast of fresh fruit, croissants, toast and jam, and tea was delivered to my room. In the morning, Michael drove me to the airport at no extra charge. There is a small fish pond and garden. The property itself is small and protected by a fence/gate. I wasn't there long enough to explore outside of the gate. Uber Eats delivers to the property. There is wifi, but no tv in the room. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay fairly close to the airport, I highly recommend Hotel Pibi.

We enjoyed being near the airport but away from the traffic and congestion. It was a treat to wake in the morning in the treetops, with breakfast on the balcony! The staff was very helpful as well.

A lovely spot to stay as you fly in or out of SJO. It is run by a wonderful family and friendly staff. The rooms are well designed, each with a private balcony. Quality textiles and plumbing fixtures. Breakfast is delivered to your door so you can enjoy eating out on the balcony. Be aware that sounds do travel well between rooms, we arrived late and I think it was likely that our neighbors would have been able to hear us walking around and speaking quietly. I would have loved to arrive earlier to explore the property gardens and just relax on the balcony. I hope to return someday!

The couple that runs this place are both kind and helpful. The grounds are lovely! If you're looking for a place to stay before or after the airport, it's a way to continue to get the beautiful nature offered by Costa Rica but still be very close to the airport (and a shuttle is provided!).

This family owned hotel is very convenient to the airport without feeling like you're right next to the airport. The grounds were beautiful and the owners were very kind. They let me check-in early and check-out later (I think also because I went during low season). They also provide one-way transport to or from the airport as well as a breakfast of coffee, fruit, toast, and jam.

Beautiful room in the trees

This hotel is beautiful. The owners made sure our stay was perfect. They brought a breakfast at exactly the time we requested. Croissants, fruit, toast and coffee. The balcony overlooked a forest. And they shuttled us to the airport at 5:15AM! Highly recommend.

It was my husband and I, first time visiting Costa Rica and it won't be our last. I would definitely recommend Hotel Pibi Boreal. It's a family owned hotel. You are treated very well from the time you get picked up. The property is a peaceful and tropical atmosphere. If that's what you love then, this would definitely be the place. The best part of our stay is having breakfast delivered to my room every morning and sitting on the balcony and eating while listening to the tropical wildlife. Thanks to Mathieu, his wife and also Sebastian for making our birthday weekend special.

Amazing forest all around, you are in the trees. Sadly we were unable to stay for breakfast as we were there one night and had to leave very early for our flight. Great staff and great recommendations for dinner

Excellent location close to the airport and yet seemed like you were in a rural part. Nice nature path behind the hotel. Nice continental breakfast (fruits, croissants, toast, coffee). The owners Mathieu and Nidia are very helpful with suggestions of where to go and where to eat. Would definitely stay there again.
