"Great place to stay, but the surrounding area is very loud. I could heard all the cars driving around. The rooms are not as dark as advertised. "

"This hotel did a beautiful job of converting what appears to be an old mission. The decor throughout maintains the look and everything is well maintained. The walls in our room had the look of lathe and plaster, and the Tiffany style lamps were beautiful. I must also offer our compliments to the chefs both for dinner and for breakfast. My wife raved repeatedly about the wonderful Caesar salad for dinner, and we both enjoyed the pepperoni pizza that appeared to be wood fired. Also, our breakfasts were cooked impeccably. I'm a bit of a snob about how eggs are cooked but the breakfast chef nailed my eggs over easy and my wife's omelette -- no scorching, just perfectly cooked eggs. Also, the breakfast meats were beautifully seared but not over cooked, and the breakfast potatoes were golden brown and crunchy outside while nicely done inside. We are trying to figure out how to get the family here for some sort of event. It was just a wonderful stay."

"Asked for a ground floor room, away from street noise and we got it! This is a superior property, with good customer service. We'll stay here rather than properties further down the 5. We've stopped staying at several Motel 6 properties (Carlsbad, Button Willow, Oceanside) because of bad treatment and maintenance issues. I always call to confirm a ground floor room, for we senior citizens, and when one of us gets there, they haven't honored the written or verbal request. Or their promise! And I get lies and inconsisten stories from staff. But, we'll book into this property again. Please take a lesson from the managers of this property and teach it to others. "
