2 stars because despite a great looking hotel, good location and good food, it shouldn’t hold 5 stars and I am very disappointed by the overall service. Particularly the way they handled the fact that a cockroach, alive, was found in the hairdryer of the room. I’m not sensitive to insects at all and actually did not care that much, but the way the man from the reception talked to me and handled the situation was unacceptable. You cannot say that this is something which can happen and that I have to deal with it, in a haughty attitude, especially when I was just asking for it to be removed. I never heard back from them, not even for an apology or a special attention (which you would have had for sure in any other hotel with such a reputation). It’s one thing to have a good exterior appearance, but you also must be dealing with clients in a correct way and provide a quality service when you boast so much about being a luxury 5 stars hotel. Other things to be noticed: - fruits in the breakfast are terrible for such a hotel in a location like Tenerife - courtesy from the staff could be largely improved in general - the condition of the shower is bad - light not working near the bed Disappointed to write such a review but unfortunately this was our experience and there’s no chance we will come back.

Great stay, stingy with filter water at dinner

We had a fantastic 1 night stay with half-board and enjoyed the spa facilities. The room is big and comfortable with good views. Dinner at the restaurant was pretty good, some dishes better than others, but a shame they charge you for some filtered water - it should just be included as part of the 3-course meal as a minimum. Breakfast was very good.

Feels 5 stars. Location not for everyone.

The property is magnificient and do not feel crowded at all. Wverything is beautoful and feel 5 stars...and i am an exigent client. The gym the spa and even the pool area are nice. The breakfast is adequate. Not mind blowing but good for those used to 5 stars. Hot chocolate is not good at all though. Staff were all polite smiling and helpful. The location is great, posh and beautiful. But i would not stay there to ezplore the whole island. We stayed 2 night there and 3 nighs in adeje. Was ideal to explore the island. Forget about the terizitas beach. Its ugly and feel like an industrial zone.

Great looking and spacious hotel with very friendly service. The spa is a particular highlight. All round a great place. The only problem is noise at night (mainly from their own bar and restaurant Kontiki) which really permeates the back of the hotel (so half of the rooms) every night until approx 11:30 - 12. So…if you’re not looking for a good sleep before midnight then I massively recommend this hotel!

Second visit. Excellent.

This was our second visit to Santa Cruz and our second stay in the hotel. Came with two babies under two years. Stayed in a garden view suite. It was an excellent room. Service was great in the bar and the staff are all excellent. Convenient car park connected to hotel and wonderful location for the attractions of Santa Cruz. Will be back again from Edinburgh.
