Heated Pool Access | 5*Clean | Flex Cancelation | By Southern Belle Savannah

Southern Belle Vacation Rentals in Savannah, GA, and Tybee Island, GA provides first-class amenities including access to our exclusive resort-style heated pool located at 19 Silver Avenue, Tybee Island GA. All of our homes are professionally cleaned after each stay, and disinfected using a quaternary disinfectant throughout the entire property prior to each new arrival.

Pick a Savannah vacation rental with some historic flavor for your next stay in the Historic District with this aptly named property located on Greene Square. Featured Savannah's Little Crooked Houses (Johnson, 2007): "To the very northeast is the aptly named “Tiny House.” This unmistakable structure, a small red frame house with yellow detail and fence, was built in 1845 for the shipbuilder John W Dorsett, but at 422 Hull Street, in Crawford Ward. It was moved to its present address (536 East State Street) after the mid 20th century to preserve it from destruction." It's now located just north on Greene Square, which is south of East Broughton Street, and it has been converted into one of our beautiful Savannah vacation rentals.

Greene Square is one of Savannah's many green spots, and it was established in 1799 as a tribute to General Nathanael Greene, who was a hero of the American Revolution. Greene Square went on to be a central place for African-American culture, including the Second African Baptist Church, which is located just outside of it. Inside the square, you'll find carefully-manicured walkways surrounded by trees and shrubs. The lawn is a great place to bring a blanket and have a picnic, or you can simply sit on one of the benches in the square and watch the nearby streets.

Tiny House is one of our most cozy Savannah Georgia Vacation Rentals with only one bedroom, one bathroom and just over 500 square feet of space. However, it is still packed with great amenities just like all of our vacation rentals Savannah GA. The one bedroom holds a queen bed, while the common space has a queen sleeper sofa. The full bathroom offers a walk-in shower, and the house also has a full kitchen for all your cooking needs. You'll also enjoy the use of free wireless Internet, a drip coffee maker, flat-screen TVs in the bedroom and living room, plus an outside courtyard with a gas grill.

The Tiny House decor is tastefully modern with wood floors and accent rugs throughout. The living room is a cozy space with a roomy sofa, decorative fireplace and a writing desk by the window. A table for four is tucked away in the corner. Immediately adjacent is the full kitchen, which includes a convection microwave, compact fridge, range, and washer/dryer combo. Outside, the quaint and private courtyard welcomes you in with wooden patio furniture to relax on at any time of day. The bedroom is located upstairs in a loft-like setting for a cute and cozy atmosphere.

Once you've unpacked your bags and settled into our Savannah vacation rentals, it's time to explore downtown. Along with Greene Square, this property is also not far from Columbia Square, Crawford Square and Washington Square. It's only a short distance north of Colonial Park Cemetery as well, which covers about six acres and is the oldest municipal cemetery in the city that is still fully intact. It contains over 9,000 graves that include some of Savannah's most famous residents.

The Historic District is easy enough to explore on foot, but you can also employ the services of the Chatham Area Transit or the Old Town Trolley, which has several stops throughout the district. Some of the other top spots to see in Savannah include the following:

- Forsyth Park
- Monterey Square and The Mercer House
- River Street
- City Market
- American Prohibition Museum
- Broughton Street
- Andrew Low House

Savannah Georgia Vacation Rentals not only make an excellent base to explore the Historic District, but they're also only a quick drive from Tybee Island, which is Savannah's premier beach destination. The drive only takes about 30 minutes by car, and then you're ready to spend the day exploring the Atlantic and Savannah River beaches as well as checking out the prominent landmarks. Tybee Island is especially known for the light station on the north end of the island, which is available for tours. Another fun place to visit is the Marine Science Center on the southeast part of the island. If you're feeling extra adventurous, you can rent watercraft equipment or charter a boat to go out onto the ocean for fishing or sightseeing.

Our vacation rentals Savannah GA make a great jumping-off point for various special events that happen in and around Savannah. Depending on what time of year you visit, you might be able to get in on one during your stay. The following list is a sampling of what you might find:

• Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration in January

Adorable
Tiny house is adorable and in a great location. The only drawback is max height is six feet to clear the beams and bathroom entry and the stairs to the loft are quite steep but doable. Would definitely stay here again.

We love staying at the Tiny House! This was the second time we stayed there. Everything was perfect. The house was clean and cozy. It was accessible (walking) to everything we needed. The team was available and checked in on us to make sure all of our needs were met. Highly recommend.

Sanctuary on on State Street
It was exactly what we’d wanted. A place in the historic district that was within walking distance of everything we were interested in seeing. We walked to riverfront, restaurants, Forsyth Park, Colonial Park Cemetery and historic points of interests. We got a kick out of the tour groups…bike tours, horse-drawn carriages, trolleys…that stopped in front of the house as a point of interest on THEIR tour. We’d wave at them from the window or front stoop as they snapped pictures of this unique Tiny House built in 1845. Be prepared for steep steps to the upstairs bedroom. We are retired so we aren’t spring chickens but we had no issue navigating ladder-like steps. Just took our time moving between floors. We found a neighborhood restaurant very close to Tiny House and thought we’d try it on a lark: 17Hundred90. It was excellent. In the 10 days we were in Savannah, we went twice. This is just one reason we enjoyed Tiny House. It was our sanctuary after a day of walking & exploring and gave us the chance to immerse ourselves in the neighborhood. The house is on peaceful, tranquil Greene Square. The weather was beautiful for us, especially for February. We would sit and relax or read on one of the benches under the beautiful oak trees in the late afternoon. Loved having a combo washer/dryer and outside grill. King-sized bed was very comfortable. Great water pressure in shower.

Cool, unique, historic tiny house with an amazing location
Super clean. Historic, yet has many modern upgrades. Tiny but not too tiny- no loft, can actually stand in bedroom. Walk to so much. Right on a square, super close to Broughton and River St's. As someone who lived in Sav for 10yrs, can tell you this is a great location. Had walked this house many times and admired it. After we figured out it was a rental, had to stay. Not loud, crazy. Small homes like this are not for everyboday but we enjoyed it. Stairs/ladder could be an issue for less agile and/or older folks. Parking was never an issue (get multi-day pass). First time dealing with this rental company- good experience. Thank you, thank you.

Great stay
We loved our stay at the Tiny House and would stay again! It was a great location. Walking distance to River Street and everything in the historic district, yet still a quiet area. Street parking was easy in front of the house. The bed was extremely comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Perfect place to stay for a couple, but might be tight for 4. The steep stairs might be difficult for some. Overall, it was a great stay and we enjoyed this little piece of history!

Great stay but could use a few small improvements
First I would like to say that we had a wonderful stay here and listed below are just some small things that I think could make the stay even better for future guests. It was in an excellent location, we were able to walk everywhere. The horse carriage tours come right through the square on their way to pick up guests first thing in the morning. It was fun to sit on the front steps and watch them come through. I think it would be helpful to have more information in the guest handbook. All that was in there were pictures of the property and I think a list of places to eat. 1. How to turn on the shower. We had a time trying to figure out how to use the shower (if you are reading this review, you have to pull the handle straight out from the wall towards you and the smaller knob controls the rain head) 2. How to use the washer. We didn't even attempt this. Also there was no dryer that we could find. 3. This unit does not have a dishwasher which is fine but a little confusing when we were told to load the dishwasher before we left. 4. Where the trashcan outside is. We had to hunt for it, it was well hidden around the back side of the house. 5. It said there would be shampoo and soap provided.... there was one mini bar of soap and one mini bottle of a 2 in 1 shampoo/ conditioner so be sure to pack your own. Had we not packed or own we would have had to go buy some. 6. Where extra blankets are. I'm still not sure if there were any extra. We took the comforter off the bed upstairs to use on the pull out bed. Thank goodness it wasn't cold while we stayed. 7. Information on how to use the grill. 8. How to turn the lights on in the tree outside.

Cute property
This home was very cute. Upon checkin, the house smelled a little musty and was very hot. The upstairs ac unit had come detached from the wall and was blowing hot air out the back and it was difficult to get to stay. The property owners did check in with us and I let them know we had tried to attach it back the best we could. The stairs are very steep, as mentioned, and would be generally unsuitable for children and pets. The bed was hard and would make sleep difficult if you prefer a softer bed. It was definitely an experience as you your buses often slowed out front to take photos. It’s in a great neighborhood, parking was easy with the city visitor’s pass, another area is very safe, walkable and close to so many great things.

Lovely little stay. Great location
I truly enjoyed my stay in the tiny home! Great location, a few blocks from downtown to be slightly away from the noise. I recommend going to the parking garage and getting a parking pass that allows you to park at any metered spot for an unlimited amount of time! The home itself was clean while keeping its charming old features. It also had convenient modern updates in the kitchen and bathroom. Check in was super easy as well as check out. The host messaged us on the first day asking if we needed anything which we did not! A few downsides- the water was not well contained in the shower despite every effort. It got all over the floor. The patio furniture in the back was dirty to the point where we could not sit on them and enjoy the back patio. We also could not figure out how to plug in the outdoor lights. There was no full length mirror which made it difficult getting ready for a wedding, which brought us to Savannah. Lastly, the grips on the stairs/ladder were PAINFUL to walk on barefoot. A grip is totally necessary but it made for an uncomfortable trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Overall, I would consider staying in another property by this host.

A miniature version of home
We really enjoyed our stay at Tiny House. We really appreciated having a small kitchen and outdoor gas grill available for those nights that we didn’t want to eat out or just have a quick breakfast in the morning. The very private patio in the back was very pleasant for sitting outside in the evening. Our dog also enjoyed sniffing around there as it was completely fenced in. The washer/dryer combo also came in handy when I found the weather to be cooler than expected. I didn’t bring enough warm clothing. The ceiling is low but my husband is 5’ 11 “ and was fine. I think that if you were much over 6 feet tall though you’d have to duck a lot. The stairs to the loft is also very steep but we had no problem using it. The only real drawback was the shower. It was fine once we figured out how to use it and that took a few days to get it right. The top knob determines which shower head the water comes out of. If the handle is up it comes out of the ceiling. If down then the wall. Pulling it out turns on the shower but the water doesn’t come out right away. You have to turn the lower knob counter-clockwise 5 times before it works. To turn it off push in the top knob and turn the bottom one clockwise 5 times. So, that’s a word of warning.

Too Many Distractions
Property is neat and clean, but needs some basic attention. Both tvs are too small in todays world. Downstairs TV did not work. Up TV did not have either CNN or Fox. Stairs to up bedroom are precipitous and scary...old people should avoid. Shower valve is impossible to work without ten minutes study. Also pool is ostensibly available, but write-up conveniently omits that it is l5 miles away.

It is a historic house. The only little house in Savannah. Cozy living room, loft bedroom and a very very private backyard - which is hard to come by -for drinks and relaxing. The tiny house was a perfect place for me and my partner. Just enough space to hang out, beautiful bathroom and kitchen - blending the old and new. It has tons of charm, spacious back patio, and an incredible location. Has a comfy bed - though you do need to be careful on the steps up - and appreciated the additional a/c up there. Highly recommend.

Great visit to Savannah!
We loved our stay in what was labeled as the "smallest house in Savannah" by a local tour we went on. Great location! Great walkability! Smaller kitchen but we spent mealtimes tasting our way through Savannah so that didn't bother us at all. The house is definitely small and would probably not be a great fit for taller people but we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location
This house is perfectly located in the historic district and made walking to all the areas wonderful hot spots so easy. The home is small and really only good for two. We knew going in it would be small. The house was fun and comfortable. We were however disappointed with the backyard, courtyard. The seating area was very dirty and all the seats had mold on them and we planned several meals with the grill. It's a shame it is not maintained because so many of the homes in the area have amazing court yards and this had the potential to be great. We are unlikely to use it again, but think it's a great home for those wanting to give a tiny home a try. We loved our trip and can't wait to go back to Savannah.

20 Year Anniversary in the Tiny House
The overall stay at the Tiny house was great, there are a few things that I would like to point out if you rent. If an early check-in is an option I would pick it because you can't check in until 4 pm and also a late checkout is also an option if available, otherwise, the check out time is 10:00 am which was a little much especially if you're staying all week and have to hurry to get out of the house in the morning. If you're taller than 6ft this house is not the house for you, the ceilings are low, just so you're aware. The steps leading up to the bedroom upstairs are basically like a ladder, we had to go backwards down the steps safely. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were very soft the bedroom was roomy had plenty of storage for clothes. The bathroom was small but it was nice, the shower was a little tricky to turn on, we had to call maintenance to help us turn it on because we had no idea. It took a while for someone to get in contact for that. The kitchen has basic kitchen items if you want any seasonings for cooking you will have to bring some, you don't need coffee filters because there are three packs we bought some not realizing other people done the same. The washer/dryer combo was very confusing to use, some instructions would have been great. The back patio was so nice to have, there are some lights that were placed on the tree in the back so you have that low lighting, we spent a good amount of time in the back. Overall the house was very nice, it was a tiny house for sure, but it was laid out perfectly. Southern Belle was in consistent communication leading up to our stay and for the most part while we were there. The house was very clean too. One last thing, on the instructions for parking Southern Belle, stated you can go to the visitors center to get a parking pass, they no longer sell them there, you have to go to the parking garage.

Excellent stay at Tiny House in Savannah, GA
We loved staying in this petite well-renovated 1845 house with historic charm and thoughtful, comfortable updates. Great location, quiet neighborhood with Greene Square right out front, plus easy parking. Very clean property with very responsive management company. Only issues with online listing: Bathroom is not nearly as large as it looks in the photo (but it's still fine) and access to bedroom is almost a ladder instead of stairs (people should be aware). Some great appliances such as a combo washer/dryer and microwave/convection oven but would be helpful to have instruction booklets.
