We had stayed at this hotel in the past, numerous times, so when we came to Seattle for a concert at Climate Pledge Arena, we figured this hotel would be the easiest as we could walk to the airport and take the light rail first to downtown Seattle, and then hop on the monorail to the Arena. The man that checked us in at the front desk was very nice, but very to-the-point, no idle chit chat. We did have one question about the times for the light rail and he was a little vague, but we figured it out online so wasn't a big deal. And we got our cookies which were amazing as usual! We were in the 5th wing, room 5220, and since we had been before, we knew it was going to be quite a hike from the front desk. We drove around so we could get closer to the wing, and found very little parking available. For the size of the hotel, it would seem like there should be more parking available. And having motorhomes and trailers parked all amongst the smaller vehicles made it a bit of a nightmare trying to park properly. Our room was clean (but dated) and the bed comfortable. We were really disappointed that the room did not have a mini-fridge in it!! I can get a room at a $60/night motel and it have a mini-fridge, so this was a huge miss on the hotel's part. We also had a very slow draining tub - nothing like taking a shower with soapy water up to your ankles!! Overall it was a good visit, but there are definitely some things that can be improved!

We search hotels with two things in mind…. Location and cleanliness. I will keep this review focused on that. The location of this hotel is great. It is literally across the street from the airport and has a convenient shuttle to & from. The hotel is beautiful! When we arrived to our room on the 11th floor, with a balcony and view of the mountains, the balcony door wouldn’t open. I suppose that’s a safety feature. But it was strange. Our room looked like housekeeping had started cleaning but never finished. We didn’t have any towels. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed and there was a large amount of dust and water rings on the bathroom vanity and night stands. Lastly, the bedding was weird. We think they were clean (hopefully!) but there wasn’t a fitted sheet, the comforter was like a mattress pad and the sheet on top. All in all, it definitely needs improvement. Sorry Hilton. You failed.

Let me start off by saying the staff and room was excellent. We normally stay one block south at the country inn. It was full so we booked 3 nights at the doubletree. This was our first and last time here. For one. Parking is 33 dollars a day. No discount for having a room booked. Second we were woke up sunday and monday labor day weekend at 7 am due to Pickett line and a strike. We attended a Metallica concert friday and sunday night and didn't get to bed until 3am to be woken up by a bullhorn and yelling for more than 8 hours straight. No compensation for that either. We had a corner suite double balcony room and it was great. All staff was great. I just have a problem with the corporate policies i guess. Other hotels have parking included. 140 to park for 3 nights on top of a expensive room is crazy. There ahould be a discount at minimum for guests on parking or free. Breakfast is like 26 dollars a person also. This hotel is huge and busy at all times. Its a nice set up but just not for us.

The customer service was great however we had an issue with the key cards didn’t work. Went back to the check in counter from our 12th floor. The elevator’s we’re not working properly. Went up stairs part way to our floor.

The way finding around the building is horrible and the staff did not clearly explained how to get through to the fourth building. We have oversized luggage that required a cart and they sent us off through the parking lot to the fourth building. The entry way / any accessible ramps were slim to none so we walked all over the place before realizing there was a non compliant ramp available at the back of one of the wings. It was such a steep incline i thought the luggage was going to roll back and run me over which felt unsafe. Then finding our way to the correct sky bridge to get to our building and elevator was also a journey. Once we got to the room it was disappointing to see how outdated and used everything was. The toilet was super close to the floor and there was no exhaust in the restroom. The air conditioning quality and air circulation was poor throughout the hotel and room. Will never stay here again.

Employees went on strike while we were staying. No housekeeping from Friday til Sunday. Workers beating on pans and screaming outside window at 4am to get up ans yelling about their union. No restaurant, no coffee, no workers. Our stay should have been comped and after my complaint I was offered free parking to make up for my inconvenience.

Wanted to love it, but would not stay again.
For such a large hotel, it appears unable to accommodate so many people. Not enough people on staff for check-in. I’ve never seen such a long line at a hotel clogging up the lobby. Waited ages to check in. No luggage carts available. Pool is not heated and freezing cold even when it was 80 outside. Towels piled up. Beer cans strewn about. Hot tub did not look clean. Restaurant menu looked bleak. But! Comfortable room, nice view of duck pond, and I love the mid-century? design of the hotel. Dont change the look, just hire more people and buy more luggage carts, please.
