"We had a fantastic weekend with you The lodge was quiet and pleasant. The hotel was busy both evenings with a wedding and after(hurling?) match but bar and waiting staff were coping admirably and had time for us. The food both evening and breakfast were first class. We would certainly come again if we visit the area"

"Lovely well kept hotel. Rooms are getting tired however the downstairs and communal areas are beautifully well kept. The cleaners do a fantastic job. The restaurant food was good although the chips were undercooked each time we had them. The breakfast was beautiful all three mornings - not one complaint! The reception staff were lovely, bright and friendly. The restaurant staff were friendly except one chap who seemed very stressed and short when we asked for a simple table of four. All in all a wonderful stay. Thank you for having us. "

"We were a bit surprised when we had to walk up a set of stairs with no elevator to get to our room 216 way at the back of the hotel. The hotel was lovely and the meals and eating areas were superb. "

"Unique property that sits adjacent to a charming historical site within easy walking distance. Very peaceful and clean. We stayed in late September, so lack of air conditioning wasn’t an issue. The heat was very comfortable during the night. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was very delicious after reading previous reviews. Would definitely recommend. "
