Not a normal classy Hilton, hole in the roof outside our room, £211 for a very small queen room, when we got there we couldn’t eat or drink as there was loads of Sunderland’s fans that had taken over the hotel couldn’t even sit down anywhere except our bed in our room, didn’t include breakfast and from past experience staying in a double room was bigger than a queen. Complete rip off

Fantastic hotel.
Fantastic hotel. So clean and tidy. Comfy beds. Giant TV screen. Crabtree and Evelyn products in bathrooms. My only complaint is the duvets were too thin for Autumn and I was cold in the night. Tried to put heating on but didn't work.

It took 5 visits from the maintenance team to make the safe work properly. The one door key did not work. There was no hot water one morning. The last night the heating would not turn off so we had to have a large fan installed.

The room was nice and shower over bath was nice and powerful. Very clean . We arrived too late to use room service as that stopped at 930. However breakfast was good with good selection . Only issue was our room had interconnecting doors and we could hear the children being rather noisy through the doors .Overall lovely stay.

Poor quality beds
Very poor quality beds, you can feel every spring in the mattress and the quilt is so thin. The room smelt of foist. I didn’t have breakfast but my friends did and they had to wait for quite a while for the food to be replenished. The cheese station was empty and not topped up. The juice machine was broken. The shower in the room had great pressure and was very hot and complimentary shower gel and shampoo/conditioner which was good. I told the man on the desk about the mattress and he said it just needed flipping but it needs binning and a new one installed. The carpet was shabby and had bits missing. I expected better for a Hilton.
