The accommodation is at the top of a hotel/pub which was busy upon arrival. Staff were helpful with check in. Rooms clean, compact. Dodgy power socket in the wall which came off completely when unplugging my device. Average spot for an overnight stay.

Great location and a good pub!
Great location, accomodating staff. I knew there was no elevator, so can't complain about that! Pub was great for happy hour and dinner. Bathroom was smallish and reminded me of being in an RV, but knew about that too. All in all a good place to stay for a couple of days.

I love staying @ The Criterion Hotel. It’s a fab old building, perfect location, simple amenities and comfortable. If you’re a Diva - don’t come here. The stairs will be too hard for your precious self. But if you want good accomodation, in the centre of mighty Sydders with cafes and restaurants and entertainment all around you, as well as some nature with Hyde Park so close and without having to secure a personal loan, The Criterion is it.
