I forgot to mention about my VIP status which I think that’s the reason why I did not get a room upgrade and the sparkling wine. Therefore it’s not the hotel’s fault. My wife and I love the hotel and overall I give them a 10 out of 10 across the board.

The location is a little far away from the public transportation system, may have to take taxi. The breakfast is good but the timing limit is not very considerate. Other hotels still let you finish your eating even after the 10:00am required deadline but this hotel wants you to leave/ finish by 10:00.

A grand and imposing hotel lobby and spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. Fabulous bathroom and toilet facilities which if you're visiting from the UK (as we were), are beyond all expectations. Area was convenient for the MRT stations and a taxi to airport took about 40 mins

The best hotel in its price range in Taipei. I’ve stayed 4 or 5 different 5-star hotels in Taipei and Grand Mayfull is the best in my opinion. Even Mayfull’s “standard” room is so spacious and the size is equivalent to some “upgraded” rooms in other hotels. Gym has all upgraded equipments and sauna is the best I’ve seen in Taipei. I also tried the 2 restaurants on the 2nd floor - the Taiwanese restaurant is highly recommended and the Japanese one is good. Breakfast and dinner buffet is also good but I’m a street food guy and I prefer eating outside. The only downside of this hotel is that you may not be able to get a taxi or Uber during the rush hours in week days, because the traffic is terrible. That said, the subway station is just 5-10 minutes walking distance.

The location is somewhat off the center. No shops or restaurants around walking distance. However , it is easy to get taxi or walk 10-15 minutes to subway or tram station. Staff are very helpful. Room is clean and sizable.

A beautiful hotel! Room is exquisite. No amenities in bathroom & room are forgotten! I wish we were staying more than one night! Simon helped us from arrival to end… absolutely a fabulous employee!
