It is an amazing Hotel with a delicious breakfast and very friendly and kind staff. The hotel has a transport service to Ubud center 3 times per day for free. If you need a hotel in Ubud, stay in the Mansion Resort Hotel and Spa. It was wonderful!!

The property is stunningly beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and non-intrusive. Bali is a hot climate and the air conditioning in the room worked well, the hot water for the shower did not work so well, there is no air conditioning in the lobby/restaurant area but there are a few cooling fans. The hotel has six boutique size swimming pools, absolutely marvellous. The food in the restaurant is quite good, the included breakfasts are very good, way better than what has become standard in North America.

This place is magical! Be aware that they do host retreats that utilize one of the outdoor stages with a PA system for the teacher to speak over sometimes early in the morning but it wasn't terribly loud. I stayed in both the standalone lodge and then moved to another room that was part of the retreat package I came for and both are amazing in their own way.

Our stay was not good at all, when we arrived in our room we were shocked to see that the room was soo outdated for a 4 star hotel. There was ants in our room which kept coming on daily even after the cleaner, bless him, tried to get rid of them for me. The next day we had a gecko in our room. Not to mention the continuous any highway running across the ceiling. It was not a comfortable stay we avoided being in our room and in the hotel as it was just ants everywhere and soo outdated.

I enjoyed the location of the property. There was security who stopped everyone who entered so my partner and I felt safe. The staff and service was great for the entirety of our stay. We went to our room and saw that it didn’t have a bathtub, the whole reason we booked with this property and they were quick to accommodate us. The staff was very friendly, always greeting us whenever they saw us. The breakfast was nice and they were always bringing out fresh food. The pools were well maintained. Overall, great stay for what you pay.

Originally the front desk placed us near refurbishment. After we asked them to assist with construction noise while taking a nap, they immediately upgraded us to an incredible suite. Excellent customer service!

Elegant rooms in an expansive compound
Lovely, elegant room, with a bath/shower, which I appreciated. One stepped out to a small childrens' pool which seemed never to be used. There were 6 pools in all, in the midst of verdant tropical vegetation, and exotic paraphernalia. At times it felt like one was staying in an abandoned film set. Think Howard Hughes.

A very big resort, beautiful. I was staying alone for 1 night and a group of male workers unlocked the door to my room. It was an accident and they probably thought it was unoccupied but still unacceptable and there is not other lock on the inside of the room.

Amazing retreat style resort in Ubud. Only a 10min walk to the centre of Ubud. Beautiful pool and surroundings. Second stay here and would stay again.

Wait, don't stay during ongoing construction
I can’t recommend this hotel right now. It has so much potential but it feels as if it’s just reopened, the staff are trying to learn their jobs and most of the pools are under renovation. It was difficult to find a common area to relax and enjoy the jungle like scenery, which is the highlight of the hotel, because there is so much renovation going on. The good news is I didn’t hear any of this noise in my room (#21). Only one restaurant is open right now and the service is extremely slow. The included breakfast is ok, not many options to choose from and I found it odd no fruit is included my first few days but they did add half way through my 7 night stay. There was a retreat going on during my stay, which is fine, but given 80-90% of the guests were part of the retreat it wasn’t a great place to meet people, as a solo traveler and felt deserted when they were in their sessions. When they were out of session they took over the place and weren't inviting to anyone not part of the retreat. I get it, I do retreats and you're bonding with those you're in the experience with, so this isn't a criticism just rather pointing out it would be helpful to know events going on at the property before deciding if its a good time to stay. Finally, its pretty far from Ubud Centre & with traffic its 30-45 minutes one way I really wanted to love this property, again it has so much potential, and once the work is done to bring it back to its glory, I’m open to giving it another chance.
