Pleasant helpful staff. Very clean both inside and outdoor areas, pool etc. Great atmosphere. Limited beach seating. Daily activity schedule. Buffet well presented, adequate choices.

Ruined our wedding anniversary by closing the main and only nice restaurant for 2 days without any warning or notice. Didn't give us an anniversary present we paid for as they didn't know if strawberries were vegetarian!!

I worried about falling. Having stairs in the room with no railing is a hazard. Stone floors I was prepared for! The hotel staff Jose in TikiTaco is excellent. The men who helped in arrival all good particularly Ignacio, he was patient with guests, made them feel welcome. Food was good in all restaurants. The service was outstanding. I like that you had activities, lots of music & energy from the dance crew. Maid Karla great the room was clean everyday. Good stay thanks

I'm aware it's a family resort but it has a small pool and it was dirty a lot of the time. I met friends with grandkids otherwise it wasn't a hotel I would have traveled chosen. Definitely not for adults.

The staff was very friendly and worked very hard. Food was excellent and never ran out. There is staff continuously cleaning the property and there are a few nice shops on the resort. Drinks are also delicious and made quickly.

Everything about this property (with the location being the exception) was terrible. From the food to the alcohol, the room being outdated, and the service. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

We liked the property was 12 minutes from the airport and was small so easy to walk around with our 2 little ones. The tacos at the Tiki Taco were delicious and room service breakfast was good too. We were bummed we couldn't dine at the Italian restaurant because of our kids age. Our daughter had a great time at the kids club with lots of activities each day. We upgraded our room to a junior suite bay view which had an awesome view! But the room itself was very dated and there were stains on the lamp shades and couch. All in all we had a wonderful vacation here.

The rooms were nice, they have shopping on site which is nice. The dining room is outside so the food is always cold, if you do not like fish your choices are limited. The Italian restaurant was amazing. There are not enough lounge chairs for the number of guest and they don't enforce the rule about leaving towels unattended for more then a hour. The lobby bar was messy and rarely appeared to be cleaned. The entertainment was ok.Some of the staff were amazing others could care less. We wont be going back. After noon you have to pay per hour to use the facility until your transporation arrives

After a few days, the food gets boring. There are not enough beach chairs for everyone to enjoy. I unknowingly sat on beach chair for the sun club members, which I was unaware of. I was then kicked out of there by an employee. I paid $740 a night for 3 nights here. It definitely was overpriced. There are also repairs that need to be done on the grounds - cracks, etc. I witnessed a child trip in an area by the restaurant that had bumps and cracks here and there. Be sure to watch closely when walking around there. To navigate supper and breakfast, they close off certain areas and fence parts here and there, making it a longer walk just to have a bite.

We enjoyed our time spent at Sunscape. The staff were friendly, the resort was lovely, the beach was nice, but the food options weren’t very good. We had trouble finding food to serve our daughter (11mo) and to eat ourselves most days. (And we also saw a couple of cockroaches at the end of our stay which was unfortunate). They seem to be on their way to catering to younger families. The location was also quite convenient.

Food left much to be desired. Buffet line for breakfast was long. Went to Seaside Grill one night and got food poisoning. Hotel " credits " were not actually credits but coupons for overpriced items. $40 USD off a $200 USD massage is ridiculous. Shower would switch from warm to scolding hot and back constantly. Tiki Taco restaurant was extremely hot. $45 USD to restock the 4 beer in the mini fridge is ridiculous. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Da Mario restaurant was good. The cleaning staff were great to deal with and left the room spotless

Nice location great pool and the staff are friendly, happy and accommodating. The property is a little older and some maintenance items are falling behind but they seem to be working on them. The pool deck has several unusual steps up and down that I witnessed people trip over more than once so you have to watch out for yourself.

We got into our room and the AC was not working. The AC was dripping water into the hallway, they had a towel on the floor. They offered us a room the next day which was across the construction site. They said it was the only room they can offer but “don’t worry they stop working at 2 on the weekends “ we stayed Thurs to Fri. The alcohol was being poured from recycled plastic jugs. The restaurants did not allow men to enter in tank tops, were on the beach ! The pool was closed early the first day due to a child pooped in the pool. Unfortunately this was not a good first impression. I will not be staying there again.
