Hacienda Kaan Ak was a fabulous experience and stay. This was mainly driven by the caring and humble staff that work there. The staff keep the heart beating of the hacienda. There is so much more potential for the grounds itself and I wish it and the owner well in continued development of the property

Underwhelming.
Beautiful grounds , tranquil, with a sense of it's history still intact.Room was clean but could use a refresh. Overall a pleasant oasis from the hyper active energy of Valladolid centro. Understaffed, although maybe that's due to off season.Still, no help getting luggage to the rooms and no refreshments available in the afternoon.It would be helpful to have at least minimal food and drink available upon check in for arriving guests.We were not made aware that the restaurant closed at 3pm, necessitating a journey into town for dinner. Overall a decent place for a bed and a pool, but not much more. FYI, Valladolid is a fifteen minute drive , a 170 peso /$10USD taxi ride away.

Although this venue is charming from an historical perspective, it’s not ready for hotel guests. We had no towels or drinking glasses, and the air-conditioning did not work. The front desk closed at 5:30 pm

The property has a lot of history, that being said it’s a very outdated property overall. The restrooms were updated and the linens were clean but otherwise it’s kind of a creepy place

Creepy
Although, I'd have to say it's a beautiful place it's rather creepy at night. It's understandable since the property was established in the year 1500 so it carries a lot of history. I did feel the rooms were a little dusty and needed to be dusted I also saw cobwebs so I little cleaning would help. We did only stay for one night so I can't really review the service.

Beatiful facility 10 minutes away from Valladolid. The room was very clean and beautiful, reflecting the glorious past of the Hacienda. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner, but served us a great Mexican breakfast the morning of our departure. Then we wnt to visit Ek Balam, a 30 minute drive. The Hacienda Kaan Ac is a peaceful oasis well worth a visit. Enjoy the swimming pool, with its cenote inspired design.

Spectacular Colonial Hacienda...
Spectacular Colonial Hacienda... beautiful gardens... peaceful and quiet place where to stay... room with kitchen and dining area,,, be sure to take your food for snacking cause Valladolid is several miles away... there is a restaurant at the hacienda though...

As a permanent resident in Merida I’ve stayed at a number of haciendas and this one is a big meh! The good: service was good, breakfast (not included in room rate) was Ok. The place was clean. The not great: the restaurant closes at 4pm (this isn’t indicated anywhere) and who wants to drive back from dinner in the dark for 15 minutes. The “villa” is a good size but it’s a lower cost new construction without any charm; the bed is hard and the bathroom furnishings are very cheap. So, in my mind this isn’t a good place for the money they charge

Perfect bird nest for couple
Very cosy room and nice staff. The park is very well maintained and the castle is like a museum to visit. Incredible experience.

We paid for jr.suite very expensive and we got a garden studio,the tv.cable wasn't working,there was no water one day and,we never had hand towels,no phone. They don't have a management,when we complain,the receptionist don't know what to do,all they said was "I'm sorry but there is no one on charge. We were very disappointed,the we paid for very expensive room and got the worst ever. I don't recommended to nobody,far away from town and kind scary at night to go and back to town!!!!

Paradise Hacienda
One of the best if not the best experiences ever. The cozy Mexican room, the home-made huevos rancheros by local Mayas for breakfast in a spectacular setting, the gorgeous pool, and to top it off, in the middle of a peaceful, breathtaking hacienda with a castle inside! What else? Yes, just minutes away from Tzitzen Itza and incomparable cenotes. Exhagerating? You're missing out. Gracias.
