Let’s be fair the place could use an update but had a smooth (and somewhat funny) check in with a cool little 3-legged dog manning reception. Didn’t end up actually staying due to personal circumstance but from what I saw the place was in pretty good nick for what I paid. My studio was HUGE, beds felt comfy, staff were chill and friendly (we like chill) and a nice, quiet environment

They went out of their way to assist. They had our meal ready by the time we arrived as I had emailled them about restaurant closing time and was suggested I preorder. Very friendly

The property needs a huge upgrade and the cleaning was not that great. U pay for what u get. Got given milk that expired that day, some sugar in unit no tea or coffee, yet there was the unit for it to go in.

This is the most cleanest and convenient I have stayed an accomodation here in NZ.Ive been staying in other motels here in NZ and I can really guarantee you this place is the best plus the staff was so friendly and accomodating.Very kind the lady that gave us the key. Ann greeted us warmly when we arrived with a bottle of fresh milk for our coffee and tea and made us feel at home. The rooms are spotless clean and have all the amenities you need for comfort and the kitchenette is terrific for cooking meals. It is a very cheery and welcoming place to relax and rest near the river.

It was like stepping back 40 years. Bird poop on the door. Mirror in bathroom not cleaned, toilet seat nearly off, mould in the shower and window sills. Cobwebs with moths in them. Only half the lights operated. Power point only on one side of the bed. I have stayed at the local camping ground and this would have been a better option.

The rooms are spacious but in need of redecoration. The whole place was tired and definitely dated. The dining facilities were closed during to Covid but the menu looked good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tariff was expensive for the quality of the accomodation.
