Very nice property, friendly and helpful staff. However, this will be the last booking on Expedia for us. We needed to leave early and the property was willing to scheme our reservation without charge, but once they found out it was through expedia there was nothing they could do and Expedia was not willing to do anything either. Not a good situation., We wasted $400 by using Expedia.

Quality hotel at a good price. Great base for exploring Washington DC. You can leave your car parked and take the metro into the City - the Roslyn metro stop is just three blocks away. Some very good restaurants within a few blocks. Note that the hotel doesn't have too many amenities: the cafe is open only for breakfast (which is okay but not great); there is no bar.

Room was great, very comfortable and clean, and reasonably quiet for the area. Parking garage is a bit frustrating as the elevators do not connect. Front desk was polite, but unforthcoming and curt. Fee for early arrival was an unpleasant surprise.

Stay away, anywhere else, this hotel is not it
The hotel lacked for most things expected for the exorbitant prices we paid. Our room was dated and breaking down. The sofa bed my sons were expected to sleep on was covered in cigarette burns. When I arrived to the hotel (one hour after check in time) I was met with a line of greater than 20 people and only one person working the desk. I waited for over an hour and when I got to the front of the line finally was “greeted” with a terrible attitude, not a single “thank you for your patience” or “how can we make things better?”. The portable crib promised for our baby was not in the room and took another 3 hours to show up in our room. I would never stay at this hotel if given the chance again. Stay somewhere else in the area, there are plenty of other options.

Not worth the price.
The hotel was severely understaffed when I checked in resulting in a 45 minute wait. The one reception staff did a marvelous job remaining pleasant and helpful yet I remain amazed that the hotel did not staff properly on a weekend when there was a well known major event going on that had the hotel completely sold out. The hotel decor is dated especially in the rooms. Overall, I would say the hotel was adequate but certainly not worth what I paid.

We came here for one night for the Marine Corps Marathon. Check-in was horrible because over half the rooms weren’t ready for guests at check-in time (4pm). They didn’t seem to care there was an issue either. Seems like they should have planned better since this is a yearly event and they know it well in advance. Beds were nice, bathrooms were dated & had hairs scattered around, TV didn’t work, bathtub didn’t drain, stains on other furniture in the room. Parking onsite was an additional $40 and is very tight. I’d suggest not driving a large SUV or truck. Doubt I will choose this hotel again.
