It is located on the majestic grounds of the Tower Homestead built in 1800 and listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is walking distance to the Waterville Triangle Historic District settled in 1792. Waterville, with its glorious folklore, was once called the Hops Capital of the World and home to the infamous Loomis Gang!

A very special location

Wonderful Stay for Hamilton College Parents
My wife and I stayed here for the weekend of Hamilton College's 2024 Commencement and were very impressed. Clean, modern, comfortable and perfectly situated, with access to a smart TV and WIFI (despite the rural location). Food and beverage offerings were highly appreciated. We will definitely be back!

This is a very cozy place and really great for the area. Fits 2 guests extremely well with all the amenities you could need. We were there for college visits, so perfectly located between Colgate and Hamilton (20 minutes in each direction). I would highly recommend this location!

Gem in Waterville, NY

The Schoolville Suite is both charming and comfortable. Dianne thoughtfully provided breakfast and snack items for us. The Suite was a perfect homebase for our exploration of the beautiful surrounding area. We enjoyed our long weekend, and we hope to return.

Always happy to return!
Our third stay at the property while visiting our Hamilton College student. The first evening was warm and beautiful and were sitting on the front steps when a man appeared w a table and chairs and set them up for us. We ate dinner outside and it was a lovely night! Everything I needed and then some
It’s hard to convince anyone that a rental is SPECTACULAR when you only stayed 1 night but I’m still going to try… I travel often and when I can, I avoid staying in hotels and try to find something more local and “home-y.” Additionally, I’ve stayed in so many rentals at this point that it’s all a blur. Most of them have a common style but this particular place will always hold a place in my heart. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always pleased with rentals that have a modern/minimalistic feel that seem to come straight from a magazine. They look clean, sterile even, and uninhabited (somewhat a good and a bad thing). But not the school house. Allow me to explain. I was traveling alone, as I often do, and I was scheduled to do a quick turnaround so my expectations for any enjoyment of the space was low. As I walked in I immediately noticed all of the thoughtful touches (and I won’t go into details because you should see it for yourself) and with every step further into the space, I felt more and more relaxed. The rental is small yet well appointed that you don’t want for more space. It’s cozy and inviting. Every corner begs for you to snuggle in, every piece of art or written quote resonates with you, and the water pressure in the shower is enough to pound away the day’s tension but soft enough to leave you lost in your thoughts. No matter what type of traveler you are or what preferences you have when staying in rentals, this is a space you can’t help but appreciate even if it’s not your cup of tea. But for what it’s worth, it was exactly the cup I needed and then some.

Fantastic Return
We really enjoyed returning to this property again this year. It’s the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever rented and the little touches of snacks, coffee and creamer are so nice. The home is very comfortable and having a fully kitchen I. Such a small place is awesome. We want for nothing when we stay here. We will definitely be back as it’s an easy ride to see the kiddo at college. Thanks to Dianne for making this such a wonderful place to stay.

A great, unique property
Check in and out were seemless. Nice little place with plenty of privacy. All the comforts of home. The host was a pleasure to work and communicate with and the goodie basket is a great touch. Only issue was TV. I stayed during bad weather and it kept cutting in and out. Mostly watched Netflix. Minor inconvenience, easily overcome.
