I booked though Expedia and upon arrival, the host informed that there was a $100 cleaning fee. The host, Paula, was unhelpful as far as directions and not very welcoming. The apartment was dark and hot. You also have to pay for electricity overages. I do not recommend this place.

Had a great stay at Kas Di Laman in October 2022. Paula was helpful and responsive as the property manager. The property is quiet and lush, with a large, shared common space in the gardens adjoining the different apartments in the complex. The plunge pool in the common area was great for our 8 year old daughter to entertain herself while my wife and I hung out on the loungers and read our novels. Our apartment was clean and well equipped. We unfortunately had a lot of construction noise from the apartment across from ours - they were renovating it - so this was our only complaint but Paula and the owner were very apologetic and offered a bit of a refund for our lost sleep, which we really appreciated. The best part about Kas Di Laman is the location. Maira's kitchen across the street is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner and makes delicious smoothies. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and took many entertaining walks in the area to enjoy the local art (murals everywhere!) and wildlife (dogs and chickens mainly lol). Really a great location, walkable to many great restaurants (Bario, Bodega, Gouverneur) and a perfect launch pad feom which to explore the island.

The property is amazing - clean, comfortable, excellent location. Plenty of free parking available on the street right in front. It's literally a 5 min walk to Queen Emma Bridge and the emblematic colorful houses. The hosts are incredibly hospitable and accommodating and we always had great communication with them. It truly feels like home away from home. We loved every second of our stay there. We would very highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay there again in the future.

The managers, Inez and Eric, were very accommodating and understanding regarding our late arrival. Eric provided a complete introduction to the property. The unit was a one bedroom with a well equipped kitchen and very nicely decorated. All appliances and were modern. The property is well kept and very nicely landscaped. There is a small pool that was a welcome relief from the heat at the end of the day.

This is one of the most charming and special properties we've ever stayed in. They converted a bunch of old houses in the neighbourhood into vacation apartments in a very tasteful way, preserving their character but adding modern amenities to make our stay comfortable. The setting is also beautiful, with the tropical garden and individual patio/terraces of each apartment. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Better than expected
This is an apartment so it didn't come standard with daily service, but it was clean on arrival. The apartment is located in a historical district and the entire street is very charming with old Dutch/ Caribbean buildings. The apartment has much more to offer than what's listed on the web site. We did have a problem during our stay and Erik and inez were quick to help with the situation. Close to water front.

It's walking distance to the floating bridge and to rif fort. I liked the pool in front of the appartment. Large kitchen & fridge. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. We are definitely going back!

Great stay on Otrabanda
We recently stayed at Kas di Laman apartments with another couple for 4 nights. We had a ground floor 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that had a small, efficient kitchen with stove top, dishwasher and a combination microwave/convection oven. It also had a dining area with outdoor enclosed patio with seating. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the air conditioning was adequate. There is also a common outdoor area with lounge chairs and a small inground pool and a building with a washer and dryer. Erik met us at the airport and also gave us a ride back. He arranged for a rental car when we determined that we wanted one. Erik was a very nice host and a font of information. The location is great and in 5 minutes walking distance to the center of town with restaurants, museums, grocery stores, etc. If you don't mind using taxis or buses to get to the beaches, you don't really need a car but there is street parking right in front. Overall we had a lovely and inexpensive stay and would certainly stay at Kas di Laman again.

A hospedagem Ć© boa. Infelizmente nossa experiĆŖncia nĆ£o foi boa. Isso porque, no checkin nosso quarto estava sujo quando chegamos Ć  noite, e tivemos que dormir em outro quarto pela primeira noite e mudarmos para o quarto reservado. NĆ£o fosse a agilidade e gentileza do funcionĆ”rio Miguel, que merece aqui todos os cumprimentos, estarĆ­amos mal atendidos. AlĆ©m disso, fomos contados por uma taxa de limpeza da qual sequer fomos informados com antecedĆŖncia, e conforme o extrato da reserva recebido por mim no meu e-mail aos 15/8, todos os valores e taxas jĆ” haviam sido pagos. Enfim, uma experiĆŖncia desagradĆ”vel, pois fui cobrado insistentemente por uma funcionĆ”ria apĆ³s o checkout enquanto estava aproveitando as minhas merecidas fĆ©rias de lua de mel com a minha esposa.

Ɠtimo apartamento bem localizado (estratĆ©gico para ir ao norte ou sul da ilha)ā€¦ Ć© um casarĆ£o antigo reformado, muito amplo e aconchegante! Camas confortĆ”veis, toalhas brancas e macias, chuveiro maravilhosoā€¦ Ćŗnico defeito nĆ£o ter porta no box, o que acaba molhando um pouco o banheiro, mas com o calor que faz seca rapidinho! Me senti segura mesmo tendo que deixar o carro estacionado na rua. A escolha de um apartamento no andar superior foi Ć³tima pois Ć© mais ventilado, sĆ³ tem o inconveniente da escada, mas para quem nĆ£o tem problema de mobilidade nĆ£o interfere em nada. Senti falta de um microondas, mas a cozinha Ć© bem completa para quem prefere fazer as refeiƧƵes em casa. Voltaria a me hospedar com certeza!

Quarto aconchegante, muito limpo. O colchĆ£o separava no meio, dois colchƵes de solteiro juntos. Ɓrea comum muito bem arrumada, com espaƧos de convivĆŖncia. Piscina sempre muito limpa. Como fiquei logo no primeiro quarto, as motos na rua durante a noite incomodavam um pouco com o barulho. Tem uma lava e seca para uso dos hĆ³spedes. Hotel muito prĆ³ximo a ponte mĆ³vel e pontos turĆ­sticos, 5 minutos a pĆ©. Paula nos atendeu maravilhosamente bem, nos atendendo e explicando tudo o que precisĆ”vamos.
