I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and I have always absolutely loved it here but last night there was a major power cut, I wouldn’t have minded but the staffs attitude was shocking telling us all it is not their problem or their issue and basically just to get on with it, our room was absolutely pitch black we couldn’t see a thing not to mention the fact we couldn’t use the spa which is so upsetting as it was my partners birthday and this is the whole reason why I booked this hotel. I understand things can happen but to be told just to grab a candle and either sit in the bar or go to our room was shocking. It was very dangerous on the stairs as we could not see a thing. What made this worse was when we awoke in the morning the power was still off, as for breakfast this was obviously off too. Just a shocking overall experience as the staff did not once try and make things any better for us all, alls I kept being told was this is not our problem! When you have paid a decent amount of money for a spa stay it is genuinely upsetting & not even to be offered a thing is disgusting! This hotel is suppose to be a 5 star so standards are obviously highly (definitely shouldn’t have staff telling me to just grab a candle and get on with it!) This birthday trip was absolutely ruined and I am so upset over the overall experience especially when you have saved up for this hotel.

The hotel was great, unfortunately other guests decide it would be good to smoke drugs from the balcony and the smell was everywhere. Spa was nice on arrival but again guest brought children in, which I don’t mind but jumping off hottubs and splashing other guest is slight annoying

our stay was amazing, the hotel is very cozy, the room is comfortable with a nice hottub. food is well cooked. the staff are very friendly. there are 3 ferries to different locations in the lake 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Loved staying here, very clean and friendly. The spa was excellent, the food was great and the concierge Patrick was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Wolud definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel. We got a great massage during our stay and the women who worked there were wonderful. That was definitely the highlight. The service in the restaurant and cocktail bar wasn’t great. Both times our food was slow and in the restaurant there seemed to be ample staff. In the cocktail bar our food took ages to come and when it arrived it was wrong. It seemed the staff were out of their depth that night. It also took a long time for one drink to arrive and at some point the waiter walked over to our table then just turned around and walked away. I think they were very stressed that night. But more training may help them. The suite was lovely and the hot tub was fantastic. Only thing that struck us as odd that a room in the lakes had nowhere to hang/dry coats after coming in from the rain.
