It's 2024, what property does not have a USB port to charge electronics? It was ridiculous. I've never been somewhere that didn't have a USB port, so I could not charge my phone as the front desk told me there were no USB ports in the entire facility. Also, the area of the hotel was very suburban. It was not walkable to any restaurants or coffee shops. The room was clean and tidy but very warm so I didn't want to put on the air conditioner but I wanted to put on the fan and when it did not work, I went to the front desk and they told me that they don't allow you to turn on the unit in October, even if it is just for the fan and not for the air conditioner. They told me to open my window, which would have been wonderful but the bus and trolley stop were right outside of my window, so it was noisy in my room with the window closed nevermind, open.

I stayed for a week in July. Tram stops right in front which was very convenient. It was clean and quiet, very nicely decorated. Many businesses and restaurants in close walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is central to a many things! It’s expensive like everything in Zurich but the price to quality ratio is good. The staff was extremely helpful and answered multiple practical questions. I would stay here again.

A charming European hotel, with very accommodating staff (fluent in English). One of the few hotels with rooms that can accommodate 3 people — a bit cosy, but doable. The restaurant next door is a bit pricey (so’s a lot of Zürich…), but there are a couple of eateries in walking distance, including a terrific, affordable cafe (Remo) less than a minute walk away. There’s also a grocer next door, and a pharmacy a short walk away, in case you need a soda, snack, or sunscreen. The tram stops directly in front of the hotel, and is a mere 3 stops to Zürich’s main train station, which is near the bus stop for a number of tour companies. You could stay at a big chain place (eg, Marriot) or maybe a ritzier hotel. But for that classic European charm, exemplary service, nice accommodations, terrific convenience, and all at a fair price, you’d be hard pressed to do better. The next opportunity I get to travel to Zürich, I’ll be coming back. I think that’s a pretty solid endorsement. :)
