Black Horse Park an historic property first settled in the 1850s by George and Arthur Desmond.
Located on 20 acres of gently undulating pasture in the prestigious Boorolite Valley of the Victorian High Country. Enriched with age old European Oaks, Elms, Poplars,Liquid Ambers' and Pin Oaks, the property is also close to Mansfield State Forest.
With the property established in the 1850's, the Black Horse Park Homestead is currently undergoing extensive renovations to restore its rich and fascinating history and is also available for holiday accommodation.

Currently up for holiday rental is the recently renovated and fully self contained Pin Oak Chapel, originally moved here in the 1940's for use as a stable.
Its features include a drying area for your wet gear in snow season, reverse cycle air conditioner, full size fridge, 50" LED TV, DVD player, washing machine and dryer, fully equipped kitchen and cooking facilities,( Includes all pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, utensils ) bed linen, towels, BBQ and outdoor fireplace.
We also supply the Chapel with tea & coffee, sugar and milk.
All linen, towels,etc. are supplied.
The Chapel can sleep up to 8 guests, with a queen bedroom downstairs, 6 singles and 1 double bed upstairs.
Black Horse Park is centrally and ideally located; 15 mins to Mansfield township 20 mins to Mt Buller 10 mins to Goughs Bay 15 mins to Macs Cove, Howqua Inlet and Jamieson.
While in the high country why not pack a picnic lunch and take a leisurely drive to the King Valley wine region, stopping at Powers Lookout along the way, it's simply breathtaking. When you arrive at Whitfield (approx. 45 mins.) you're biggest decision will be which winery to go to, there's about ten in the area...... Oh just try them all! Black Horse Park is an all year round holiday location. The area caters for: Snow skiing / snowboarding at Mt Buller, fishing / swimming at the Delatite River (just 2mins away), horse riding in Mansfield State Forest / Victorian High Country, mountain biking / cycling at the rail trail and Mt Buller ( We have bikes and helmets available for hire) four wheel driving and exploring, golf at Mansfield Golf Club or just enjoy a gourmet platter and a glass of fine local wine at one of the local wineries.
Lake Eildon is only 10 minutes away so why not bring your boat, we have heaps of room to park it safely.
Goughs Bay has three great concrete ramps so you can always access the lake no matter what the water level is.
Besides all the usual water sport activities you should try the bars / restaurants on the waters edge, just pull up, tie up and enjoy.

If you would like to bring you're horse and ride the vast expanses of the Victorian High Country, it's on our doorstep, with endless tracks to ride you'll be amazed at the breathtaking scenery and awesome riding trails.
We have excellent horse friendly paddocks and four post and rail yards with water and washing facilities and plenty of room to park the float.
You don't even have to bring your own hay as we have plenty of good quality grass hay here you can buy at a very reasonable price.
Your horse can stay for $10 per night or if you are unable to bring one don't worry we can arrange local horses and guides for you.
During your stay at Black Horse Park, feel free to wander the property, fish for Red Fin, Rainbow trout and Yabbies or even have a swim in our large clean dam, sip on a glass of you're favourite wine, read a book or just have an afternoon nap.
Please be aware there are other accommodation options on the property and there may be other guests in close proximity. If you are looking for a peaceful
