Booked this hotel for a leisure trip for 14 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. We booked half board to include breakfast and evening meals We had some concerns about the room that we booked as well as menu choices on offer for our evening meal as it wasn't buffet service as we assumed it would be. We addressed these to the Duty Manager who listened to us and went out of his way to make sure that the remainder of our stay was as memorable as it could be. We were moved to a more suitable room which fit our purposes for a leisure stay much better. All staff were very helpfull and friendly and went out of their war to make sure our stay was pleasent. Thank you to all the team at Movenpick JLT!

Outdated hotel with extortionate prices

Movenpick is listed as a five star hotel and I wouldn’t even give it a three. It’s so outdated and the quality is so poor in comparison to other hotels in Dubai./around the world at a five star rating. It’s a 3 star maximum. It was a disappointment given the price that I paid and to make matters worse, the spa charges an extortionate amount - I didn’t appreciate the front desk being so pushy about extending your spa session or massage to get more money from you… it was lacking in class, but the therapist themselves were lovely. JLT is good for business trips.

The hotel looks like it needs some renovation , what made me give a 3 stars overall is the fact that : Not a single American News tv channels were available. After a day of work ,or in early morning ; One would appreciate to listen to some news from Home while taking a shower or having a coffee in room. For the American person that I am , this simple point - easy to solve -: Meanwhile it made me NOT '' feeling Home ''away from Home. Thus , a big No from my side , and wont come back Hopefully they will realize their miss ... and add : CNN // or any other American News ' Tv channel.

Stay away from this hotel at all costs! My friend got an electric shock in our room, and instead of showing concern, the staff were shockingly unhelpful. When we asked to speak with the general manager, they conveniently claimed he wasn't available and made excuses. To make matters worse, when we requested to cancel our stay due to safety concerns, they threatened to kick us out of the room! Expedia was no better, providing zero assistance in obtaining a full refund. Terrible service and a complete lack of care for guests' safety. Avoid this place like the plague!"
