We only spent 1 night before we left on the Key West Express. Would have been very unhappy if this was our vacation spot for the week. The elevator was broken on our side of the hotel, so we had to lug our bags up 2 sets of stairs. The door did not lock well, and you could see light coming through it. The TV did not work well; the sound was distorted on some channels, which was frustrating. The rug was dirty, everything just seemed dirty. In the morning I took a shower, and the drain stopped up. It was a walk-in shower, so the water was about to overflow onto the floor. I went to the front desk for help but was told maintenance wasn't coming in until 9 am, and we couldn't wait. The very nice front desk lady gave me gloves and searched and found a plunger for me so I could attempt to unplug the drain. You also had to sign out pool towels, like I would want to keep their thin skimpy pool towels! The outside just seemed sad and run-down. I would never recommend this hotel. We were happy to leave. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the wonderful woman at the front desk, she was helpful and very nice. The pool also seemed nice for the little kids that were staying there. They seemed to be having fun.
