I come to Hawaii about every other month, usually stay with family. This trip we needed additional sleeping and booked the Romer. We really liked the vibe of the hotel, kinda hip, very nice staff, restaurants are good, sushi was good. This hotel is 1 block from the International Marketplace which has amazing shopping and dining. As you pass through the marketplace, Dukes is just across the street - about 2 blocks from the beach. It is very walkable - a real bonus - because parking is a nightmare and expensive in Waikiki. Everything is walkable. On the flip side, what we found lacking was attention to details by housekeeping. The hotel offers shampoo, soap, etc in wall mounted dispensers - a great concept if they are maintained. In our room all the dispensers were empty or close to it. We didn't call housekeeping as it was annoying but not a show stopper. Towels - 1 per person, services are every other day. Again, not a show stopper, we just asked for more towels. There is a small room fridge, TV., no microwave if that helps anyone out. Also notable is how helpful the front desk was during our stay. Overall, I would definitely stay again and even encourage those on the fence to give it a try.

hotel employees were all really great. my particular room had a weird balcony space off the bathroom rather than a sliding glass door. the wind made the room very loud. but otherwise, it was a super cool property and I'd stay again.

Perfect Stay in the Heart of Waikiki
Incredible stay from beginning to end. It's a beautiful property close to everything -- restaurants, shops, the beach! Also, it's a quick rideshare to Diamond Head and other nearby hikes. The on-property activities are a cool touch - the floating sound bath was relaxing - and we loved everything we ordered at the restaurant on our last day. Excellent customer service, comfortable beds, and an all-around wonderful stay.
