I was here for five days. By the time I left I felt every staff member was a friend. My trip was purely for fun and the hotel was a perfect compliment to my stay. My compliments to Simon the General Manager for providing an excellent staff. I can’t wait to come back.
I arrived at 5:45pm and my room was not ready. Really unacceptable since I had a function to go to that night. They did not give any explanation. Just kept on telling me they were getting the room ready. I had to wait 30 mins.

Staff asking me to wait when my Uber is already there just to see if I took any drink from the fridge is a little weird. If I can pay you such an amount to stay in your hotel why you think I m interested in your drinks . I made it known to the receptionist that they have to device a way to check for it instead of asking someone to wait until you confirm a drink in the fridge.
Second time here and enjoyed my stay each time. Staff are superb and location was central to all my business locations. The only negative was recurrent power failures though restored within minutes.
I used to love this property when it was the southern sun. But it has gone down. For $200 a night it is not worth it, there are far better hotels in this area.
We were assigned a room and we could see a filthy back of a building, and could see people taking showers. We asked to be moved, the next room had broken sockets, looks nothing like the picture online. Everything worn out.
Anyways we chose to stay as we were not spending much time in the room. One morning we ordered tea and coffee to the room and it took 40 minutes. Last night I ordered fish soup, they brought me chicken soup, I sent it back and it took in total almost 2 hours and I had to cancel it as it was late to eat.
I had to call the duty manager as I saw under the bed, they had not cleaned under the bed for months, the dust, dirt and grime was unbelievable. I refused to move rooms as I saw this on the last night. I asked them to send a cleaner, they did their best but I advised them to deep clean that room once we left.
At check out I was given a bill for an airport transfer when I had my own company driver.
The whole experience was awful. I do not know what has happened since southern sun left. But they need to pay serious attention. I was so disappointed.
Staff are trained and couteous. Room is well cleaned and smells clean too. Overall i usually have a good time every time i am in Lagos for work. The only issue is the long wait for an order when dining in the room, please get more hands in the kitchen as it appears there are just a few people attending to over 200 guests

Dated rooms that need a refurb. They are adequate for a short stay, but if I was given this room in a 4* hotel in most other countries I would have complained.
Overall a good stay. Nice hotel, very convenient, reception, housekeeping and room service staff were very friendly/professional and the hotel has decent amenities. However what I feel lets them down is the restaurant staff and wi-fi! The staff in the restaurant are not attentive, they just walk around aimlessly whilst guests/visitors are waiting to be seated or want to order. The dinner buffet is very good though, breakfast not so much; the food was often cold and tasteless. I had major issues with connecting to the wifi which was very frustrating.
