I booked a stay at this hotel for my elderly mother and myself. I booked a day earlier as we were arriving from abroad at 7am and would not be able to wait until 3pm for check in. I emailed requesting a shuttle service from the hotel and this is where the problems began. We were led outside the airport and made to wait in the sun for 45 minutes. Apparently we were waiting for other guests, however after much going back and forth, I managed to convince the driver to take us and make additional arrangements for the others. Once we are lives at the hotel, there were no bell boys outside and we were left waiting with 6 bags at the endurance. I started to move the bags myself and then, as if by magic, 2 guys arrived and took or bags. At the main reception we were met with a big smile and the receptionist tried his hardest to make things right by apparently upgrading us. However it would’ve been better if we were put in a room closer to the loft, as my mother was struggling with the walk to the room. Nevertheless, we were adamant that we were going to enjoy our trip and brushed this off. The breakfast hall is chaotic-but this is more of an issue with low calibre guests who lack etiquette and basic manners. However the Nadia cafe has terrible service staff who do not clean tables and left us waiting to order some tea for over 20 minutes. In contrast, the executive lounge (which is complimentary) has some of the best staff I’ve seen in hospitality and made us feel very welcome.
