We were at the Orleans during a cheerleader convention. The hallways were very loud. When we complained to asst. Mgr. Dwight McIntyre he agreed and told us he was going to remove two (2) resort fees from our bill, $90 would not be charged. When we checked out, the charges were still on the bill, and there was no note of this change. The Mgr. in charge at that time (Valleau Lewis) told us there was nothing (even though she agreed), she could do other than inform Dwight and he would call us later about the situation. We checked out of the Orleans, went to the Gold Coast, and never heard back about this overcharge. I would like to recommend Boyd properties, the food was good, but I will not do so because of this situation, easily remedied at that moment by Ms. Lewis, but she was quite rude about it and then, Mr. McIntyre was rude to not contact us with remedy.

The room was nice and it was clean. It felt like a trek getting to the rooms though, we had three. I will probably stay there in the future but if I dont, that would be why.

Not Bad for the Price
My boyfriend and I were there for thee one stay for a work trip. I will say that the mountain view from our hotel room. The only downfall(s) I had will my room is that the side of our bed was very dusty, the room lighting was very dim (wish it was a little brighter) and the bathroom window was also old school and had to crank it in and out.

Copper wisk was a nice experience on both visits morning and evening. Having pay to have a refrigerator in the room was unexpected and wrong. Heater unit failed in the room, had to get it replaced, preventing me from departing my room for over two hours, missing out to play in the 6pm poker tournament. My card on file was charged multiple times, with no explanation. Claimed to me they would be removed, but still showing pending charges on my card two days later. The shower was ancient, old and leaked.

There was so much to like about this property. It’s very clean. The hotel rooms themselves are actually very beautiful. A nice layout. Plenty of space. The hallways are nicely lit. They smell nice. It doesn’t smell like cigarette even though it’s a non-smoking hallway. You’d be surprised the circus circus smells like cigarette even in a non-smoking. The part that gets me and makes me really unsure if I wanna come stay here ever again the concierge was remarkably rude and insensitive, and probably prejudiced when I asked for help with an issue issue with my room. Or I come from we do not have thermostats. In fact where I come from, most people do not have air-conditioning units in their homes at all this is considered an extremely privileged item. That being said when I saw the unit in my wall I tried to adjust it because it was really cold when I got here, but it was stuck on. It was tolerable for most of my stay on my last morning when I woke up due to it being 38° outside it was significantly colder in my room to the point I was losing feeling in my fingertips. When I went downstairs to grab a coffee and maybe ask for help, I skipped the coffee because I was so offended by the way the concierge responded to me. She was using this really demeaning tone and small language, almost as if she thought that I was not very bright for not realizing there was a thermostat on the wall. I literally did not notice it. I didn’t look for it. Not everyone will.
