The room was spacious and comfortable. Handy about the automatic blind so the room is dark and you dont really hear much noise Great location. Would stay again when coming to Melbourne

Excellent hotel, 5 stars all the way!

The Pan Pac is such an excellent 5 star hotel and their service is very good which I couldn’t fault. Despite our fridge overheating, they offered to change/upgrade rooms which we didn’t accept. Staff were nice, polite and they listened. The room was really good with a bath, king bed and spacious bathroom. It was quiet at night and we slept well. Thanks for an excellent stay and we hope to be back in the future :-)

Unfortunately only 2 lifts out of 4 were in service which led to on times a 20 minute wait in the foyer and on our designated floor. Barista coffees with breakfast were served in takeaway cups.

Glass bathroom doors are not great choices

The location and room to see fireworks was spot on. The room design not so great for sleeping. The bed too soft for me, glad I brought my own pillow as the ones provided were not great either. The AC was fine the first night but the second night didn’t seem to be working. The bathroom door is frosted glass, great during the day but being the bathroom faces into the bed, if anyone used the bathroom during the night, the one sleeping was woken up by the light glow. Pity it didn’t have a blockout blind like the window- they were great! We had the breakfast on the last morning - definitely did not get our moneys worth, we arrived at the tail end of the service, the options were limited despite paying full price and the options were very ordinary and not worth the price, which was disappointing.

Terrible check out experience. 4 lifts and none of them taking guests as all were full. After waiting 20 min, walked down the emergency stairs, only for the lower floor exits being locked. Walked back up to level 4 with other guests and had to knock on the door to be let on to that level. Waited another 20 before a random staff member helped by taking us out via the goods lift. Possibly the worst check out that I have experienced in 35 years of travel.
