"I’ve just come back from 12 days staying at the Whitney House Retreat with my pups. This was the second time that I stayed at this place. I love the proximity to all the trails, not only those within Algonquin proper. It’s also a really nice location - you can listen to the beautiful sounds of the river while enjoying a backyard fire, barbecue, and the sounds of the birds & critters living in the forest behind the property. In addition to backing onto the forest, I love the shield rock and the birch trees surrounding the property. It’s a special place. Casey is an excellent host, and the place is nicely decorated and quite comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!"

"Once again, we had a terrific family and friends vacation (that includes our fur babies). I was looking for a place to relax and recharge, connect with my family and our friend’s family. We are a go go go family and need a week to just sit, play, and enjoy each other’s company. We are a large bunch with several teenagers and need space and a place that isn’t ‘fussy’. This hit the mark again. Janet was super helpful leading up to our stay and during our stay. Everything you need to know is at your fingertips. If you are looking for a place to wake up, open the door and let the kids play, this is it. "
