The only problem we had was with parking and that was pretty self induced. I only mention it in. Are someone else does what I did. We got in late so the valet gate was closed. I should have asked when I called about how that would have worked. But I pulled off onto the side of street, my husband walked in and they sent the person out to open the gate and park our car. The hotel was great. We didn’t get rooms with a view but that’s ok. It felt very French Quarter. I love staying in well kept older places. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The last day I went down to the cafe because it was raining. I was not impressed. The floor was filthy, the food was mediocre, but the coffee I had was pretty good. I only ate there because it was raining and didn’t want to join the men at the museum. Much better to go out and explore for breakfast like we did on previous days.

Walking distance to Bourbon Street. As close as we were to Bourbon Street we didn’t hear much noise from the streets. Very quiet in our room.

This place is perfect! The staff was wonderful, room was beautiful, comfortable bed, good shower, and ideal location. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked great. I couldn’t recommend this place more, everything was top notch.

Front desk staff was so knowledgeable of the area and very courteous, but the house keeper that i interacted with on 2 different days was just plain rude. The property and the room were gorgeous. Quite interesting staying somewhere that is so immersed in history.

really enjoyed staying at hotel st marie. the onsite coffee shop is how we started each day and the onsite bar is how we ended each day. good location. we were able to walk to bourbon st, natchez paddle boat, jackson square and the superdome.

Great location

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic at the heart of the French Quarter. My only complaints are that the dumpsters for the hotel across the street (and maybe this one too) are emptied at 4AM and are REALLY REALLY noisy. It's like they were ramming the metal dumpsters against each other, woke us up every night. Not sure the hotel can do much about that so my advice is don't get a room facing the street. The other is that it was unseasonably cold and the beds just have a thin blanket. Not the hotel's fault (weather), and I probably should have just asked for more blankets. Otherwise, the place is great. Would like to go back in warm weather and enjoy the courtyard.

A charming budget-friendly stay. Great location!

The location can’t be beat. In the heart of the French Quarter, you can walk to practically everything. We were here in January and got a great deal. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The balconies and the courtyard are charming. Get a room overlooking the courtyard if you can. Coffee shop and deli were convenient for grabbing yummy coffee, etc. There’s a bar as well—we didn’t go but people seemed to be enjoying it. To be clear, the place is not fancy or luxurious—the fixtures are a bit old but everything was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for bougie, stay elsewhere (and pay more). But for a great budget stay in a fabulous location!
