Quiet and safe Uptown house steps from Audubon Zoo and shopping on Magazine

This house is located in a very quiet and safe historic neighborhood right near Audubon Park. It's also one of the most gorgeous residential neighborhoods in the city. It's perfect for families or small groups looking to relax and explore the city. The house is not baby proofed, but children and well behaved adult pets are welcome.

The location of the house is unmatched! Everything you need is within a few blocks.
It's easy walking distance to window shopping on Magazine St, James Beard award winning restaurants, several comfy neighborhood bars, the award winning Audubon Zoo, Audubon Golf Course, Audubon Park, coffee shops, a yoga and pilates studio, a spa, Wholefoods, Walgreens, ice cream shops, and an upscale wine store.

It's a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter, Mid City, Lower Garden District, and Central Business neighborhoods. Or just walk a few blocks up to St. Charles Ave and catch the streetcar towards downtown.

There are new countertops and appliances in the kitchen, a private washer and dryer, and central AC/heat. There is a TV in the living room and master bedroom, both with Netflix. 2 off street parking spaces are available for small vehicles. A big vehicle will take up both spaces, but there is usually plenty of street parking available as well. The lush front yard is securely fenced in and set far back from the street.

This is *not* the place for your bachelor party or a place to get rowdy. Please only book if you know how to respect a house and neighbors as if they were your own.

Other things to note:
-Quiet hours after 11pm - The owner lives on the property in the rear apartment.
-Parties and events are strictly prohibited(And also illegal at rentals in Orleans Parish).
-No smoking(anything) inside. Feel free to smoke on the front porch, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
-For security of the property and my guest's safety, there is an external camera overlooking the front yard and driveway.
-I don't bother my guests. Your privacy is important to me. Although I'm happy to chat or give suggestions. If you need anything at all, I'm always happy to help.

***My rental house is thoroughly disinfected and cleaned by a professional cleaner after every single checkout. Visit with confidence that you and your family and friends will be taken care of.***

If you want to be in a beautiful neighborhood close to market, shops, restaurants and street car this is it. We were in town for the Super Bowl and wanted a break in the evening from the crowd. This neighborhood is very quiet and we utilized the street car daily to downtown. Host communication was outstanding with recommendations and prompt replies.

Good place with lots of beds near nice shops and Whole Foods. Host was great at providing music tips, including at le bon temps roulee, which is walking distance away. There is a parking spot but we took the bus or Lyft which worked out well.

Audubon Park centered visit
We loved the location of this rental. We had our two small dogs with us and they could safely walk in this very dog friendly neighborhood. We visited the Audubon Zoo and walked daily in the park. We visited the WWII museum and the Aquarium and downtown briefly. There were many restaurants, coffee shops, a bookstore and small shops within walking distance.

Best location with a great host!
Loved the neighborhood.Good food and coffee shops within walking distance or just minutes away. Private parking right in front of the house. Easy drive, or Lyft to most of the sights and the French quarter. House was spacious and had great air-conditioning. House was super clean and the beds were comfortable. We forgot a personal item and the host' went out of their way to ship it to us. You couldn't be in better hands.

Great for an intergenerational family
We were in New Orleans for a family wedding but went early so grandkids could do Halloween there. This location was perfect. Most houses were elaborately decorated welcoming! The kids had a great time and the adults had fun just watching them and admiring scene, friendliness and energy!

Would give this house 6 stars if possible. Wonderful home in prime location, in the middle of everything. Easily & comfortably accommodated 3 adults & 2 kids. Amazing property!
My husband and I are not city people, but we both really wanted to visit New Orleans. It was important to me that I find a safe, comfortable place to stay outside of the French Quarter. That is exactly what I found with Joey's place. Joey was wonderful from the time we booked through check out, he reached out many times, and was extremely helpful. I even reached out about some questions and suggestions a few weeks before arriving and he spent most of a Saturday afternoon chatting with me, relieving all of my worries! Upon arrival my husband and I were amazed, the place is huge! You can bring your entire extended family and have more than enough space! We brought our dog with his and he loved having the front yard to explore, and there was plenty of room inside for him to play safely as well. The neighborhood is very safe, we took walks everyday. It is about a 10 minute walk to Audobon Park, and there is a delicious Po Boy shop about two blocks away on Magazine Street. We were able to easily walk up to St. Charles Ave and catch the Street Car into the city. We had an amazing trip and would definitely stay here again!
