We stayed in January with 5 people for 4 nights in two of the bay view lodges. They were located side by side, so spending time together was no problem. We were extremely lucky with the weather and never needed the heating. However even if it would have been colder that wouldn’t have been a problem as there is heating all ariund the lodges. It was very quiet and we could enjoy the calm of the Tassie bush. The lodges were spacious and clean and the bathrooms efficient. Breakfast & Dinner at the Bay Restaurant was outstanding and the staff friendly and nice.
Stewart Bay Lodge is the starting or end point for the cape boat tours, so the jetty is right there. The boat trip around the capes is a MUST!
Stewart Bay Lodge is the best place to stay in Port Arthur especially when it comes to meals. Don’t look anywhere else.
A beautiful quiet property right off the beach and with access to walking path to Port Arthur historic site only 10 mins easy walk. We had the older log cabins which were still excellent with nice lounge and two neat bedrooms. The kitchen had all needed albeit with old electric stove. The Restuarant on the property is only 2 mins walk from most cabins and had great food for dinner and good breakfast available each day. The staff were excellent - my son left his AirPods and we rang and they quickly found them and posted them back to us. The highlight is Stewarts Bay beach and incredible views and amount of walking tracks to just get out and enjoy the beautiful part of Tassie. We had mild weather in late Dec so pack for warmth and chill.
Beautiful location, near the historic site, with an outstanding restaurant. Cabin was well equipped, quiet and close to all activities. Great stay.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property is in need of an update. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Thank fully there was a second bathroom. Main bathroom shower was unusable as there was either no water pressure or the shower head was in need of a desperate clean?
Reception staff were not engaging no question on how was stay etc. just a thank you when the key was handed back.
The rest of the apartment was nice and well appointed. Quiet and pleasant
Lovely chalet, spacious and well-equipped. All you need for self-catering plus a washer and dryer. Our chalet had a beautiful view from the large patio. No WiFi outside of restaurant (closed when we were there) and reception. TV reception, however, was good. Pleasant 20 minutes stroll to historic site
Beautiful setting in bushland close to a secluded beach.

Mostly very good, great meal and service in restaurant. Wonderful location and very scenic. Two areas need improvement. The cabins are now very tired and need a refurbishment. Secondly, we had a simply terrible night's sleep as the mattress sagged very badly in the middle.
What a wonderful spot. We had a cabin overlooking the water. Wished we planned on staying more nights. Dining at the restaurant on site was a delicious surprise!
