The location can’t be any better: right on the promenade of Ribeira Brava, in the middle of the city Center with all its restaurants, the market, the concert stage, local and touristic shops. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The hotel is not new, but has everything one needs. Enjoy!

We had the best stay at the Flag Hotel! The twin room was just the right size for two travelers. Ribeira Brava was a charming part of the island!! It was quiet and everyone was so kind. Above all, the staff at the hotel made our stay phenomenal. Joel went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible trip! He booked tours for us, scheduled taxis, and was genuinely excited to hear about our adventure. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very disappointed
We stayed here on 26th-30th January, initially we booked this hotel because we met up with friends and they got the hotel as part of a package. The check-in was straight forward even though we arrived late the staff/receptionists were very nice. The room was average with a double bed, very uncomfortable. I specifically asked for a non-smoker room and was given a room that reeked smoke and the chair had a big hole on it probably from a cigarette. The bathroom was spacious and the shower powerful probably the best asset in the room. The location is good, the hotel is by the beach with good restaurants nearby. It’s about 20min from Funchal by car.

Hotel in great position near sea
Nice little resort but bit too quiet in November for someone travelling alone. Couple of good restaurants easy walking distance. I was ill and no resident Doctor they could call on - had to go to local Medical Centre by taxi.

Nice hotel right infront of the beach!
First time in Madeira, stayed at this hotel and it was quite nice. Can see the sea right from your balcony. Loads of shops and restaurants around. Pool on the top floor which is nice if you just want to have a chilled day. Overall I was quite happy with my stay at this hotel :)

Big, clean room with fantastic view to the sea. Great central location, good for buses. Lovely roof top terrace. Wifi only in public area and not very good.
