This is a pretty reasonable hotel, close to the main shopping street -Rue Didouche Mourad. It's not easy to find, even taxi drivers struggle! It's on a steep hill so you need to be prepared for that. The staff are great and very helpful. They organised a brilliant guide to show us round the Casbah. We got to visit loads of places we would never have found had we gone on our own...which is not recommended!
The room was basic, but ok. The bathroom had seen better days, but the shower was very good - loads of hot water and great pressure. Breakfast was included, coffee, yoghurt, croissants. Eggs are available fried or scrambled for 200 dinars extra per person.
There's a little shop right next to the hotel, ideal for picking up drinks and snacks.
Don't expect 5 star luxury, but if you're on a budget it is ideal.
Tip: don't get an unofficial taxi from the airport...they're a rip off. Stick with a metered one and you shouldn't pay more that 1000 dinar.
