Furnished nicely, very small, quiet and private, off the beaten path, no traffic here at all. Beach is steps away and you will most likely be the only one on it. They provide beach chairs, toys, etc for the guests to borrow.
Stacy, the manager is very helpful and nice. Unbeknownst to me, she upgraded me to a huge 3br suite with jacuzzi tub, when I had only paid for a 1br. Why? Simply because she thought I would appreciate the ocean view from there, since I had come in from California and most of the others staying there were locals. Well she was right, it took my breath away. Thanks Stacy!
The units have kitchens, but you really have to bring or buy everything food-related (mine didn't even have salt and pepper). There is no food on site except for a soda vending machine. You have to plan your shopping because the stores in Freeport are not well stocked and you may have to hit several places to buy everything you need. Grocery stores don't sell liquor, and most places are closed on Sundays.
Stacy set me up with Queenie the taxi lady who took me all around to stock up for the week. She knows everyone in town, where to get the best fruit, bread, bargains. Thanks Queenie!
You can walk to a beach cantina about 2 blocks away at the Xanadu. - they are really friendly and the food is great. The open air bar is open everyday for breakfast, lunch, dinner - 8am to ? even gave me a ride "home" since I had walked over at night and then it started to rain! Thanks !
