We recently had the pleasure of spending an overnight in Cullentra in Cushendall as part of a birthday treat. Not only was the location a wonderful setting with mountains, sea and countryside surrounding us, the warmth and hospitality shown to us from our hosts Olive and James, really set the tone for our stay. Even adding special little touches like a box of chocolates for my birthday and a pot of tea with home made cake, on our late arrival. The next morning, the wide selection of breakfast choices was welcome and showcased Olive’s culinary skills (delicious). We even came away with extra wheaten bread and scones when we left.
The guest house was very clean, inviting. with an atmosphere of warmth, friendliness and laughter.
Thank you to our fantastic hosts, Olive and James, for providing a lovely experience. Happy to recommend to friends and family.
Thanks again, Lori & Ian
Such a beautiful place. So quiet an peaceful. Room was lovely great comfortable bed. Made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived an left. Breakfast was lovely met all are needs an beyond. Olive an James were lovely hosts, went out there way more than enough. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
My husband and I stayed for two nights. We had the most amazing time. The house itself was in a beautiful location with amazing views over the Glens of Antrim and the coast. The room was spacious, spotless with the most comfortable bed. Breakfast was extra special with a varied menu and generous helpings. The proprietors were charming, welcoming and very informative about the area. It’s no wonder they have won awards. We loved our time in Cullentra House.
The host was adorable and made the stay feel like home. The breakfast provided was plenty with lots of options. Definitely recommend to stay here again.
Lovely Home with the hosts very hard working keeping everything tidy! The breakfast was exceptional with extra care taken to make a guest feel special!
Great view and pleasant staff. We enjoyed full breakfast in the morning for a small fee. Overall, it helped us with getting a place to rest on a long tiring road trip around the north of Ireland. We have learned that B&B set up is just not for us after all. The furniture and bedding were somewhat outdated. Towels could get an upgrade as well.
Cozy bed and breakfast! Photos are accurate of the location. The breakfast was phenomenal! A little smoothie sample to start, granola and yogurt, and the main! Easy to find and parking was easy too however it would likely be hard to stay here without a car or arranging transportation. Everything was wonderful!
Wonderful couple to take care of everything we needed. Made us a reservation at a wonder place to eat. Cooked us a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Such a great place.
By far the best accommodations of our entire 14 day trip! Breakfast was fantastic!! Room was well appointed and very comfortable
This is the place to stay if you are in the area!!!!!
Flawless property and service! It doesn't get better than the stay offered by Olive and Jim at Cullentra House. From arrival offer of tea and cakes to the immaculate and luxuriously appointed home and guest rooms to the warmest hospitality and delicious array of breakfast offerings (with so many exquisite baked goods!), this B&B is a treasure during travel. The warmth was like visiting family, with the bonus of total professionalism, spotless home and stunning views at Glenariff on the Antrim Coast. Arrange your travel to stay in Cushendall!
Olive and James were exceptional hosts. The house and landscaping was beautiful. Breakfast was exceptional. We highly recommend their bed-and-breakfast!
Was a wonderful place to spend the night! Comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast!!!
Everyone we met were so helpful and kind!!!!
Would stay there again!!!
I was late in making it to the property and the host called me to check if i was coming, she was very nice and understanding even though i never arrived until almost midnight due to problems. She was very welcoming and the establishment is beautiful, clean, very rural and safe offering free on site parking which was a big plus for us arriving on motorbikes. Breakfast was set beautifully and the selection of quality food was substantial and would be more than adequate for anyone whether it be continental or a cooked , and a side portion of home made muffins and cakes was the icing on the cake. Lovely place, lovely people, you won't find better. Love and apologies for the late arrival from Scotland.
Absolutely loved our stay with Olive and James. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hosts were so helpful and accommodating. Don’t skip the breakfast, there are lots of great options and each comes with baked goods, juice, tea or coffee, and an appetizer as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
