The biggest issue is the location. It is a horrible location next to Boston Medical and a homeless shelter. Outside is unsafe because there are literally hundreds of individuals experiencing addiction or with substance use disorder. On top of that, the elevator was dirty. The wallpaper is peeling from the wall. That mattress was uneven and old. I woke up at 4am with my back hurting. And, it was loud. I feel like I haven't said anything nice so here goes. Breakfast was included and the wifi too. Also, there's 24 hour security in the garage... because you need it.

Disappointed
The staff was great. However they do not mention that right outside the hotel is a group of about 75 homeless people doing drugs. You can’t go outside without being approached for money and you feel very unsafe outside the hotel.

The hotel itself was great. The staff was wonderful. Just be warned it is in a very very bad area. There are a lot of homeless folks who are heavy drug users. The security guards do a great job of keeping them from bothering guests, but it's definitely not a safe area.

The staff was outstanding. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. Judy that worked the breakfast was amazing. She was so helpful and made some great recommendations. Good mid-range hotel but terrible surroundings. Drug treatment clinic has many drug addicts hanging around. Used needles on the sidewalks and road. Numerous Police sirens anytime of day or night. Do not stay here if you want quiet or safe walk outside hotel. Drive in and out only.

After checking in , I heard lots of noise from the outside, in a form of people shouting, yelling etc. when I looked outside my window ( 6th floor window) , my view was about 150 homeless people. And streets filled with debris. There’s a hospital behind the hotel, all night ambulances were coming and going. When I went out to dinner I ordered an Uber because I didn’t feel safe going to the garage at night. The garage smelled awful. I was happy when the morning arrived, just so I can leave. Extremely expensive for a hotel that felt like a cheap motel. My total cost was $275.00 . Shameful!

Staff was pretty good. Neighborhood is very poor, noise is really a problem. Constant sirens all time of the day and night. Toilet malfunctioned constantly. Door to the Main Street entrance was locked causing us to have to go the south side of the property. You don’t want to spend much time on that side of the property. Outdoor seating at the restaurant faces south and is not usable. Cuban restaurant was fun. Deferred maintenance poor neighborhood, loud, poor value for the money. Walk to Northeastern not as pleasant as from other directions.

While the hotel itself was nice enough the surrounding area was filled with drug addicts. In the short walk across the street from the garage there were two men shooting up, the area behind the hotel was filled with people doing the same, there was a woman that looked to be from the walking dead (poor thing) wailing all night at the top of her lungs, police sirens all night, and then a helicopter from the hospital next door. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Our room had a falling door where our clothes would be stored. It was falling off the hinge along with the cabinet door next to it. I called 2 times and 2 face to face request to the front desk staff to have someone come out to fix it (3 days), let alone ever getting additional blankets we requested which we never got. The maid and maintenance people were great, but the desk staff was terrible. The maintenance supervisor could not fix it and he placed us in another room. That room was a couple of doors down and was night and day in comparison to the room we’re in. The hotel wasn’t cheap an we expected better rooms and customer service. Expedia, stated they would send my complaint to hotel management during our stay, to date zero reply. No surprise. I researched the hotel reviews that were great. My suggestion going forward is to read the yelp reviews. Totally different story. Wouldn’t have chosen this hotel if I looked there. I expected more from this level of hotel and from its brand association. We will never go back.
