"Lucky Bug was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The host greeted us warmly as he showed us to our room. The artistic touches in the room and on the grounds mirrored tactfully much of the external natural beauty of the place. The stars were beautiful upon our arrival (which may not be the norm) and the music of nature chorused loudly changing its tune to silence in the middle of the night to a new chorus of birds as the night progressed to day. The balcony of our room was a great place to sit and birdwatch while waiting for breakfast time. The food was fantastic and the view from the opposite side of the pond was also lovely. The service was warm and welcoming. We arrived by the road from La Fortuna after dark. There are no lines on the narrow serpentine road making it a bit of a stressful night drive. By day the same road had many lovely views. "

"Casa Donna Rosa’s hosts are amazing, the property is beautiful and our king size villa was great. Comfy bed, tastefully decorated room and the shower was excellent. The huge balcony had a table, arm chairs and a kitchenette. All very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was the cherry on top as Carlos is a creative and talented chef. Don’t miss it! In addition, they provided excellent and detailed advice on attractions nearby going as far as making the reservations for us. I would not doubt in staying here again and really hope we have the opportunity to do it in the future."

"The property itself is wonderful for a family vacation. Ample room for everyone with the library/entertainment area, the dining room, deck, covered swimming pool and hot tub and every room with its own bathroom. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful. It was like having your own Concierge. Very helpful coming up with activities and and recommendations. The staff were friendly and took care of everything. The breakfasts delicious and large. It all worked flawlessly. "

"Unique open air lodge. Open the large windows and photograph birds ehile sitting in the dining area. Large garden grounds and a private mountain trail. The full board meals were fabulous. Would highly recommend."
