"The photos on Expedia are outdated. This place had new paint on the outside of building, updated and the rooms and carpet looked like they remodeled it. So it didn’t look as outdated as the photos! Looked better! Parking lot is huge, the area is quiet. Walkable to the beach and loved all the locals and neighborhoods we walked through to get there. Community is safe. The staff was kind! "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Cove Inn! The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable! We even had our own private patio! The grounds are beautiful (probably even more so when it’s not cloudy and raining!). It is close to downtown Capitola, just a 1/2mile walk or so. They also have such friendly and welcoming staff! Katrina was so sweet and accommodating, it was like staying with family! Also, we have never been served breakfast in our room before! That was so cool. Fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and pastries from a local bakery!! It was delicious. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to get away for a perfect weekend (or longer!) "

"The hotel is excellent! Very clean and updated. The breakfast is delicious and something different everyday. Plenty of parking in the back. Walking distance to restaurants and a healthy grocery store next door with various ready to eat meals. Pillows and bed are comfy with a nice couch to lounge on. Nice big pool. Overall I’d love to give them 6 stars if I can. I will stay here again when I’m in town. "

"Great stylish place close to everything!Definitely not a new freshly renovated place but nice enough to not worry about getting sand on the floors! It’s mostly original 70’s style inside, I wouldn’t say it smells like smoke like in the description, but more like old 70’s wood paneling, not bad, just more like Grandmas house. Big place for a full family of 4! The garage is a nice bonus, it fits a short Escalade no problem, long one may be tight. It also has (5) boogie boards, umbrellas, canopies, beach chairs and a wagon!! So you don’t have to haul that stuff there! Two minute walk to the beach, all the restaurants and bars!! Park once and walk everywhere with ease! Nice patio for dogs too. Definitely will be staying there again. "

"The front desk staff were amazing at checking me in. The hotel room had in a small household refrigerator and a coffee pot. There was a nice little dinette. Everything was clean and welcoming. It is very walkable across the bridge to restaurants and shopping."

"My favorite vacation stay ever! I spent 32 days and loved every minute. Comfortable beds, great living space and the best balcony and view. Short walk to everything the village has to offer, right at the wharf and beach! I have already booked another stay! "
