Check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean when we got in. The issues didn’t start until our 2nd night. Our lock was broken on our door (turned out to just be a dead battery). However, while we were waiting for maintenance to diagnose and fix the issue, the person working at the front desk told us, unprompted, to pack up our bags because she was going to try to upgrade us room, move us elsewhere at a minimum. So we took the time to pack up our bags again, 30 or so minutes go by and no call or message to us as promised. When I went downstairs to check, staff acted as if they never made that promise and said the problem was fixed and there were no more available rooms. This whole delay caused us to miss a wedding event, which is the reason for our visit to Philly. I asked to be comped for the room for that night, they said they’d leave a message for the manager. When we checked out, no message was on our file. The room was good, the service, not so much.

The employess were lovely. So polite. We ate at the onsite restaurant for breakfast and they only had 1 chef to do all the orders for service and room service.. we waited 1.5 hours for breakfast.. there were only 3 tables seated in the dining room. The server was great though. She comped our meal, and when the food came it was definitely worth it!

Honeslty, the only reason I'm giving your service a 3 was for the kind man at the front desk who let us get a snack as an apeasment while we waited for our room to be ready. Your manager who was on duty Tuesday night was incredibly rude, arrogant and condescending. I called down to the front desk expressing that our sheets were dirty and we could see that stains through the sheets (my girlfriends side had a huge blood stain under the sheets.) Our floors were dirty, the shower was dirty as well but we were only staying for a few hours so we ignored it. When the manager came to our room he said, "I'm going to be honest, there isn't a single mattress that's here that isn't stained." Whether that's true or not, not something you should tell your guest. He moved us to a different room, one he and a few other staff were cleaning since as per the front deskman "House keeping dropped the ball.", this room the sheets were clean, the floor even though the manager was just in there was not clean w/ stains under the bedside table, crumbs on the floor, other folks hair, the shower was better but still dirty (other folks hair on the shower floor). The manager said he'd be back with hot coffee and our new room keys. He never came back. Will not be staying here again.

Enjoyable experience at the Cambria. Upon arrival there was a little to no wait time at check. Wanted to exchange room for a higher floor option and it was met with no hesitation. Everything was literally in walking distance. From food to nightlife, I would come back for sure. Thanks for accommodations provided!
